Rookie kicker Jake Moody had his field goal blocked earlier in the game, but this time his 52-yarder sails clear and just about has the legs to drop over the crossbar between the posts.

It's now a four-point game at the start of this fourth quarter. We've seen Kyle Shanahan in 0-30 when five points down going into the fourth quarter, wonder if this one counts?

  3. End of the third as Purdy brought downpublished at 03:39 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 21-14 San Francisco 49ers

Brock Purdy tries to waggle through the pressure but Rashan Garry is waiting for him and drops the QB - it's not quite a sack as Purdy manages to gain a yard in the scramble, but it's the end of the drive and they'll line up for a field goal when the fourth quarter starts.

Great catch from Brandon Aiyuk who takes it off his toes when crossing the field and he manages to get across the sticks to convert on third down.

  5. 'Momentum changer for the 49ers'published at 03:35 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 21-14 San Francisco 49ers

Jason Bell, former NFL cornerback, on Sky Sports: "This is a momentum changer for the 49ers. Now the offence will be thinking 'the defence did their job, now this is our opportunity'."

  6. Love intercepted!published at 03:33 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 21-14 San Francisco 49ers

Jordan Love's throw on third down is tipped and then intercepted by Dre Greenlaw as at last the 49ers defence comes up big to force the turnover.

Up to now Love has been largely untroubled but San Francisco finally come up with the big play to get the ball back around midfield.

  7. Nothing for the Ninerspublished at 03:28 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 21-14 San Francisco 49ers

No joy this time for San Francisco, who are reeling on the ropes here with Green Bay answering every time the 49ers thought they'd got a foothold in the game.

There's no really surprise that Jordan Love is thriving and his fellow youngsters in the receiving corps are putting up points, but the defence smothering this 49ers attack is the big surprise so far.

  8. A whirlwind start!published at 03:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Phew! Breathless stuff in Santa Clara at the start of the second half, following a first half containing 13 points we've had 22 already with three straight touchdown drives.

From a defensive scuffle we've had an explosion of offence and points, whatever will happen next?

  9. touchdown

Touchdown - Packers!published at 03:19 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 21-14 San Francisco 49ers

What is going on!? Jordan Love fires a dart into Romeo Doubs for a 15-yard gain to leave Green Bay five yards away.

Love then hits Tucker Kraft for the touchdown in the right corner of the end zone - and follows that up with a two-point conversion throw to Aaron Jones to make the lead seven.

  10. What a return!published at 03:16 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 13-14 San Francisco 49ers

Incredible! Keisean Nixon with an epic kick-off return that sees him weave and turn through the tackles, speeding away before cutting inside and then...the ball is out!

There are 49ers everywhere but Green Bay's Eric Wilson dives on the ball and recovers, ending a 73-yard return to leave the Packers on the 20.

  11. touchdown

Touchdown - 49ers!published at 03:12 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 13-14 San Francisco 49ers

Lightning strikes! In the form of Christian McCaffrey, who bursts through a big hole in the middle, survives the contact, bounces out of a tackle and then he's off.

And when Run CMC puts his foot on the gas there's no stopping him as he powers away for his 22nd touchdown of the season.

  12. 'Put it on your back!'published at 03:11 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 13-7 San Francisco 49ers

Speaking on Sky Sports, former NFL cornerback Jason Bell had a clear message about those dismissing 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy as merely a 'game manager'.

"This is how you change that narrative," he said. "Purdy, put it on your back!"

  13. Postpublished at 03:10 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 13-7 San Francisco 49ers

George Kittle comes to the rescue with Brock Purdy under all kinds of pressure again but able to lash a ball to his tight end across the middle for a big third-down conversion.

  14. Postpublished at 03:10 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 13-7 San Francisco 49ers

Jason Bell, former NFL cornerback, on Sky Sports: "They always find someone to target and they'll go towards the weaker of the cornerbacks. When you become that guy, they go after you consistently. They've made a game plan for it."

  15. touchdown

Touchdown - Packers!published at 03:05 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 13-7 San Francisco 49ers

Massive moment! Bo Melton is wide open and he just about gets his feet down in the back of the end zone to collect a 19-yard touchdown from from Jordan Love.

Another defender slips as he tries to close in, and Green Bay take full advantage of that, and the bad flag for PI on the last play, to take the lead.

Love strikes and the Packers pile on the pressure, can the 49ers answer?

  16. Huge penaltypublished at 03:04 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 6-7 San Francisco 49ers

Huge! A hopeful heave downfield to Bo Melton sees Ambry Thomas arrive too soon and get flagged for pass interference that costs the Niners 41 yards!

That's the stock play on third and long, a long throw and hope downfield to either get a big completion or draw a foul - and Thomas has fallen for it and cost his team, again.

That's his second PI flag of the game and they've cost his team 10 points.

  17. Drop!published at 03:02 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 6-7 San Francisco 49ers

Urgh, there's a big mess here, Jordan Love tripped up by his own man then tosses the ball to Aaron Jones who fumbles it and has to race backwards to recover and prevent San Fran from dropping on it.

    Costs Green Bay 11 yards.

  18. Challengepublished at 03:00 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Green Bay Packers 6-7 San Francisco 49ers

Another 'spot' of bother as Jordan Love again runs the QB sneak and looks to have stretched out far enough to move the sticks, but the refs rule him just short.

Matt LaFleur isn't convinced so the red flag comes out - think he'll win this one...And he does! First down Green Bay.

  19. Pack back on deckpublished at 02:56 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

We've got some proper play-off football tonight haven't we? Every single yard tonight has been well earned and includes here with two sides able to sling it about only combining for 13 points so far.

Green Bay's defence has really stepped up - their offence has gained yards, held the ball, but not punched it in....yet!

  20. 'Let's go out and grab it'published at 02:53 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Ben Collins
    BBC Sport

In his half-time interview, Packers coach Matt LaFleur admitted his frustration at not converting in the red zone, saying he 'wishes he had a few of those play calls back'.

He added that his message to his players was: "You're right in it - let's go out and grab it."
