  1. As it stands at the bottom...published at 14:00 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

Birmingham 1-0 Norwich; Plymouth 1-0 Hull; Leicester 0-1 Blackburn

Birmingham need Hull to equalise at Plymouth now - a goal that would send the Pilgrims down as it stands.

What a second half this has been.

    Plymouth 1-0 Hull City

Plymouth are pushing to give themselves a cushion with 25 minutes to go but Morgan Whittaker has seen another shot blocked.

Nerves creeping in across the country at the moment. Such fine margins.

  3. goal

GOAL: Leicester 0-1 Blackburnpublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Sammie Szmodics (68 mins)

Sammie Szmodics comes up with just about the biggest of all his goals this season!

He pinches the ball from Jannik Vestergaard in his own half then sets off on a truly sensational run.

He cuts in off the sideline then finds the far bottom corner for his 32nd goal of the season. Wow. Just wow.

    Plymouth 1-0 Hull City

    Brent Pilnick
    BBC Sport at Home Park

News of that goal at St Andrew's has filtered through to Home Park.

Argyle still lead 1-0, and will stay up if things stay as they are, but you can sense a nervousness around the ground.

    It's getting interesting.....

  5. goal

GOAL - Rotherham 4-2 Cardiff Citypublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Sam Nombe (63 mins)

    Pick that one out!

Sam Nombe curls home from the edge of the penalty area.

Rotherham are heading for a rare win.

  6. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Swansea 0-0 Millwall

Swansea are awarded a penalty as winger Ronald is brought down by Jake Cooper's sliding tackle.

But Matt Grimes' spot-kick is well saved by Millwall keeper Matija Sarkic.

This game has come to life.

  7. goal

GOAL: West Brom 2-0 Prestonpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Kyle Bartley (61 mins)

That should be enough for West Brom to seal a play-off spot.

A long throw from Darnell Furlong is met by the head of Kyle Bartley and it loops up and over the goalkeeper into the net, despite the efforts of a lot of players on the line!

If it stays like this, Preston will have lost their last five games without scoring.

    Leeds 1-2 Southampton

    Ian Woodcock
    BBC Sport at Elland Road

Leeds fans welcome Daniel Farke's decision to make a triple sub.

Events down in Suffolk mean the rest of this game is largely immaterial but, as I said earlier, Leeds don't want to go into the play-offs on the back of two home defeats (and three losses in four).

That said, given both teams now have bigger fish to fry in the coming fortnight I'd expect the intensity to drop off.

  9. 'Blues with momentum'published at 13:54 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Birmingham 1-0 Norwich

    Kerys Harrop
Ex-Birmingham City women defender on BBC Radio WM

When you've got the momentum, you need to keep going and keep it up.

Birmingham's work rate has been impressive today. That's certainly what the fans want to see from their players.

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Leeds 1-2 Southampton

Adam Armstrong has had a third goal for Southampton flagged for offside.

The call was made well before he tucked it away, but still Illan Meslier has to turn around to pick the ball out of his net.

    Feels like a soul-crushing exertion.

  11. CLOSE!published at 13:53 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Sunderland 0-2 Sheff Wed

Barry Bannan has come close to putting this one on ice for Wednesday but his low effort was blocked behind by a defender.

With Plymouth and Birmingham ahead, Wednesday will be very glad of their commanding first-half lead.

  12. Postpublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Leicester 0-0 Blackburn

Am hearing that there are a few grim glances being exchanged among Blackburn staff as words filters through that Birmingham have taken the lead against Norwich.

The visitors need a point against the champions at the very least right now to stay up.

  13. Blackburn in dangerpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

Birmingham 1-0 Norwich; Plymouth 1-0 Hull; Leicester 0-0 Blackburn

If Blackburn concede against champions Leicester, they'll be down as it stands and Blues will survive.

    Wow.

  14. goal

GOAL - Rotherham 3-2 Cardiff Citypublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Tom Eaves (57 mins)

The hosts lead again thanks to Tom Eaves' cool penalty.

No stakes, but plenty of drama at Rotherham today.

There is always one game on the last game of the season with loads of goals, appears it is Rotherham v Cardiff today.

  15. 'Southampton can destroy you'published at 13:48 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Leeds 1-2 Southampton

    Simon Grayson
Ex-Leeds manager on BBC Radio Leeds

When you look at Southampton - the team they've put out - they've got some experienced players, some money well spent.

This was going to be such a hard team to play against. Even if they are not in great form, you don't want a team that play high risk football that can destroy you if you aren't careful.

They have played well Leeds but Southampton just showed better quality.

  16. Postpublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Leicester 0-0 Blackburn

Marc Albrighton is feeling the love from every corner of the King Power Stadium.

Jamie Vardy, his long-time team-mate, heads directly for him and hands over the captain's armband.

  17. goal

GOAL: Birmingham 1-0 Norwichpublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Paik Seung-ho (55 mins)

    Now then... St Andrew's erupts.

Paik Seung-ho missed a glorious chance before half-time but this time he has reacted superbly after Keshi Anderson's shot from the left had cannoned up off a defender to head home his first goal for the club at the far post.

    How vital could it be?

    Plymouth 1-0 Hull City

Plymouth try to cop & paste their opening goal, Callum Wright lofting a curling cross into the box but this time Joe Edwards can't get contact with his head.

Morgan Whittaker has also seen a low cross-shot skid across the face of goal.

    Leicester 0-0 Blackburn

Abdul Fatawu gets plenty of love as he leaves the pitch. He has been an electric addition on loan from Sporting Lisbon this season.

Will we see him again in the Premier League?

And while the applause for him is big, Marc Albrighton gets a legends welcome.

He is a Premier League and FA Cup winning Foxes great, who is out of contract in the summer.
