  1. 'Blues need to be more dynamic'published at 13:24 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    HT: Birmingham 0-0 Norwich

    Kerys Harrop
Ex-Birmingham City women defender on BBC Radio WM

The tempo has dropped off for Blues. They need to be more dynamic.

I'd be very surprised if there's no substitutions with some more positive, attacking-minded players in the second-half.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:23 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Birmingham 0-0 Norwich

Koji Miyoshi wanted a penalty just before the break but looked like he went down too easily.

Angus Gunn has produced a couple of saves to keep Blues at bay, but John Ruddy did likewise at the other end.

All to play for in the second half because as it stands, Birmingham are going down.

  3. goal

GOAL: West Brom 1-0 Prestonpublished at 13:23 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Alex Mowatt pen (45+2 mins)

    Big goal for the Baggies!

Preston goalkeeper Freddie Woodman fouls Darnell Furlong in the box and the referee points to the spot for a penalty.

Alex Mowatt steps up for the pressure kick... and makes no mistake.

West Brom only need to draw to confirm their place in the play-offs so this will do the trick and then some.

  4. goal

GOAL: Stoke 3-0 Bristol Citypublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Million Manhoef (45+2 mins)

The goals are flowing at Stoke!

Bristol City were unbeaten in seven coming into this!

Ki-Jana Hoever finds the run of fellow Dutchman Million Manhoef and he rifles the ball in to the top corner.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Rotherham 2-1 Cardiff City

A rare good half for the hosts.

Cardiff looking like a side already thinking about beaches and pina coladas.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Ipswich 1-0 Huddersfield

As it stands, Wes Burns' goal has Ipswich Town on the way to ending a 22-year Premier League absence.

The Tractor Boys have controlled this game. A draw is all they needed to go up, and right now they are cruising towards the top flight.

For Huddersfield, well they have just 45 minutes of second division football left before they drop to League One.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Coventry 0-2 QPR

Great half for QPR as Coventry's season looks to be ending with a whimper.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Sunderland 0-2 Sheff Wed

Goals from Liam Palmer and Josh Windass have Wednesday two-up at the interval and safe, as things stand, though Jack Clarke did thump the woodwork for the hosts.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Leicester 0-0 Blackburn

Leicester City are enjoying the spring sunshine in a game that has thrown up little in the way of chances for either side.

The Foxes are already promoted as title winners, so they are just chasing the cherry on the cake that is 100 points.

Blackburn, however, will need to do all they can to avoid defeat.

As it stands with results elsewhere, a share of the spoils keeps them up.

  10. goal

GOAL - Rotherham 2-1 Cardiff Citypublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Tom Eaves (45 mins)

The hosts back in front in first-half stoppage time as Tom Eaves finishes from the edge of the penalty area with a fine finish.

A fifth win of the season is on!

Leeds United need to win today to give themselves any chance of automatic promotion.

  12. CLOSE!published at 13:19 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

Sunderland once again battling to get back into the game, though Patrick Roberts has blazed over the crossbar after a cut-back.

  13. Postpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Leicester 0-0 Blackburn

There will be a nervousness among travelling fans at the King Power Stadium.

Results elsewhere have Blackburn just one spot above the drop zone as it stands.

If Birmingham snatch the lead against Norwich, and title winners Leicester do the same against Blackburn then there will be a sinking feeling for Rovers.

  14. CLOSE!published at 13:19 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Birmingham 0-0 Norwich

Koji Miyosho's cross from the left is missed by a Norwich defender and bounces off the knee of Krystian Bielik who looked more surprised than anyone, only for Angus Gunn to dive to his left and claw the ball off the line.

FIVE added minutes at St Andrew's.

    Tyrese Campbell (45 mins)

This is turning into an excellent final day of the season for the Potters!

Tyrese Campbell races into the area and powers the ball into the back of the net to double Stoke's advantage just before the break.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Leeds 1-2 Southampton

Taylor Harwood-Bellis so nearly adds a third for Southampton.

He leaps highest to meet a free-kick, and he clatters his attempt off the top of the bar.

If it has been on target, it looked like Illan Meslier may have had it covered.

  18. goal

GOAL: Coventry 0-2 QPRpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Morgan Fox (40 mins)

A second for QPR before the break!

It's not a peach like Ilias Chair's opener as Morgan Fox bundles the ball over the line from close range but the away fans won't care a jot.

  19. Birmingham cannot find a sparkpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 4 May 2024

    Birmingham 0-0 Norwich

    Nick Mashiter
    BBC Sport at St Andrew's

Tickets sold out in 36 hours for the finale at St Andrew's with the home fans hoping to see a dramatic escape.

Birmingham needed an early goal and you can sense the nerves now. The supporters have gone quiet after two early openings for Koji Miyoshi.

Aside from the pre-game pyrotechnics there has been no spark and the tension will only increase rise, especially with Sheffield Wednesday winning.

Paik Seung-ho wasted a good opening after the re-start following a medical issue in the crowd but Birmingham need to find a way through and they have not been good enough to do that yet.

  20. goal

    Nat Phillips (38 mins)

Cardiff City are level as Liverpool loanee Nat Phillips stoops to head home from Ollie Tanner's teasing set-piece.

Cardiff strike again from a free-kick.
