    Derbys 148-7 v Leics 574-7 dec

Leicestershire call up Liam Trevaskis for his first over of the innings.

Aneurin Donald comes down the pitch to his second ball, tries to hit it over mid-wicket but lifts his head, makes no contact and is bowled.

That did not look good - and it ended a promising stand of 67 with Anuj Dal.

  2. Postpublished at 12:32 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 34-0 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

  3. 'Lancashire are in a bit of bother'published at 12:28 21 April

    Essex 377 v Lancashire 146 & 66-6

    Roland Butcher

The sun has made an appearance again but Lancashire are in a bit of bother.

The deficit is still there, a long, long way to go.

  4. Postpublished at 12:27 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 96-2

Just the one wicket for Somerset so far this morning as Notts batters Will Young and Joe Clarke approach a 50 partnership.

That wicket was a cracker from Craig Overton to remove Haseeb Hameed but there's not much happening for Lewis Gregory and Shoaib Bashir with the the ball at present.

The hosts still have a big lead of 166.

  5. Postpublished at 12:27 21 April

    Middlesex 18-1 - target 158

Yorkshire are certainly not serving up free runs at Lord's.

Middlesex are having to settle for ones and twos at the moment in pursuit of a three-day victory over the White Rose.

Nathan Fernandes is 10 not out and Max Holden has eight.

  6. Postpublished at 12:25 21 April

    Kent 244 v Surrey 280-1

    Interesting shot.

Matty Parkinson floats one up well outside off stump and Dan Lawrence opts to sweep through square leg for four.

That certainly suggests the Surrey batters are in very confident mood.

It's not so long ago that Dom Sibley was opening the batting for England. He has two hundreds already this season but do you see any way back into the Test side for him in the Bazball era?

  8. Postpublished at 12:17 21 April

    Kent 244 v Surrey 267-1

Spin from both ends now at Canterbury as Matty Parkinson joins Jack leaning in the attack.

Two runs and a couple of singles from leaning's latest over - Dom Sibley is now 121 not out and Dan Lawrence has 67.

Still one-way traffic in this match.

  9. Division Two updatepublished at 12:15 21 April

Gloucestershire's Zafar Gohar picks up his third wicket of the Sussex first innings at Hove as James Bracey stumps Fynn Hudson-Prentice for 18. The home side are 314-7, 103 in arrears.

Glamorgan have broken tthrough again at Northampton with James Sales lbw to James Harris, but Karun Nair is still there on 71.

Aneurin Donald and Anuj Dal have posted a 50 partnership for Derbyshire, who are 131-6 against Leicestershire, but still facing the prospect of having to follow-on.

  10. Postpublished at 12:14 21 April

    Hampshire 180-1 v Warwickshire 455

Nick Gubbins is patiently edging closer to his first County Championship century of the season as bat continues to dominate ball at Southampton.

Hampshire batter Gubbins has moved on to 88 off 200 balls having just seen off a maiden from Warwickshire left-arm spinner Danny Briggs.

    Hampshire trail by 275 runs.

  11. 'A tough ask for Worcestershire'published at 12:11 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 11-0 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec - Durham lead by 457

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Worcestershire have been set 458 runs to win which is an unlikely target given that the forecast is not very good for tomorrow and the length of time left in the game would mean that even if the forecast was good they'd have to bat for a very, very long time.

The pitch might turn, it appears to have flattened out, it doesn't appear to have any demons in it.

I think we'll get a good steer on the way things are going to go in the first hour of this innings if they can get through that without too much damage then I think they might start to think that they can save it.

It's going to be a tough ask and Durham have done everything right so far. They won the toss and chose to bat, they got a decent first innings lead and they've capitalised on that. Excellent stuff from them.

  12. Postpublished at 12:09 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 11-0 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

Worcestershire's second innings is under way at Chester Road in Kidderminster.

They face a gargantuan task but for now, their focus is just on surviving until lunch with all 10 wickets intact.

Pears opener Gareth Roderick enjoys confidence boosting consecutive fours off Matthew Potts.

They'll need plenty more of that.

  13. Postpublished at 12:07 21 April

    Middlesex 10-1 - target 158

Max Holden clips Jordan Thompson away for four - the first boundary of Middlesex's modest run-chase.

There's a lot of pressure on youngster Nathan Fernandes, who has only a single from 11 balls faced, but he then forces Ben Coad away to third man for four.

  14. Durham declare right on cuepublished at 12:06 21 April

Durham 397-5d set Worcs 458 to win

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Graham Clark brought up his 50 right on the stroke of 11.50am and Durham promptly declared, giving themselves an hour to have a go at the Worcestershire batsmen before lunch.

Clark and Ollie Robinson put on 132 for the sixth wicket, with Robinson making 67. He's scored four half centuries in a row so far this season.

There are 83 overs left in the day and Durham are going to have to hope they can bowl Worcestershire out in that time because the weather forecast looks awful tomorrow.

In the last two weeks The Pears have been in good positions to win games going into the final day, only to be thwarted by the elements. Unless they pull off an incredible run-chase here, the elements may be saving them this week.

  15. 100 partnership for Surreypublished at 12:04 21 April

    Kent 244 v Surrey 250-1

Dom Sibley dabs a single off Jack Leaning as he and Dan Lawrence post a century stand for Surrey's second wicket.

This is looking ominous for Kent. Where can they find the inspiration to separate these two?

  16. WICKET Bruce b Porter 5published at 12:01 21 April

    Essex 377 v Lancashire 146 & 48-6

Someone wake up the driver of the Lancashire team bus and tell them to let the family know they will be back up north in time for a Sunday roast.

Tom Bruce attempts to drive a delivery from Jamie Porter but plays down the wrong line and the ball nips back to strike the stumps.

Essex are turning the screw. Porter has 3-14.

  17. Division Two updatepublished at 12:00 21 April

Derbyshire are clinging on against Leicestershire and are now 103-6, replying to the massive 574-7 declared by the visitors.

Glamorgan have taken another wicket at Wantage Road with George Bartlett falling to Brad Wheal for three. Karun Nair is 71 not out and Northants are 349-4 - a lead of 78.

Sussex have a second batting point at Hove - they are 307-6, but still 110 behind Gloucestershire's first innings score.

  18. WICKET Balderson lbw b Snater 4published at 11:58 21 April

    Essex 377 v Lancashire 146 & 48-5

Lancashire might be bowled out before lunch at this rate as Shane Snater bags two left-handers in the over.

George Balderson steps forward to defend a full delivery from Snater but is struck low on the pad.

Snater is bowling round the wicket but he's be devilishly accurate and his appeal is successful.

  19. 'Worcs are going to have to bat extremely well'published at 11:58 21 April

    Worcs 184 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec - Durham lead by 457

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Hereford & Worcester

We're going to see what Worcestershire are going to do.

They're going to have to bat extremely well, it's a tough ask for them today.

  20. DURHAM SET WORCS 458 TO WINpublished at 11:54 21 April

    Worcs 184 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec - Durham lead by 457

Graham Clark reaching his 50 is the signal for Durham to declare on 457.

They have added almost 80 runs in under an hour this morning, with Ollie Robinson shining, finishing unbeaten on 67.

That couldn't have gone much better for the visitors as they now have time before lunch to get into the Pears top order.

The forecast isn't wonderful for tomorrow so that may have been a factor in their early declaration. They want to make sure of victory today.
