    Interesting.

Mark Stoneman plays across the line to the third ball of Ben Coad's opening over and that is out.

    Any nerves, Middlesex followers?

  4. 'It's going to take a really resolute effort from Notts'published at 11:50 British Summer Time 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 66-2

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Pedestrian progress made by Notts but that's the way they've got to go about it.

It's going to take a really resolute effort to bat through the day and they'll have to come back tomorrow and bat even some more if they are to get something out of this one.

  7. wicket

WICKET Bohannon lbw b Cook 5published at 11:46 British Summer Time 21 April

    Essex 377 v Lancashire 146 & 39-3

Josh Bohannon survived a big lbw shout earlier but this time he is toast.

The Lancashire batter steps across his stumps and attempts to work Sam Cook to leg but is unable to get any bat on it.

No doubt about that one as Cook receives high fives from his Essex team-mates.

  8. Postpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 21 April

    Hampshire 158-1 v Warwickshire 455

Still relatively slow going at Southampton but we have had the first boundary of the day as Fletcha Middleton punishes a first-ball loosener from Craig Miles for four.

Hampshire's Middleton (69 not out) and Nick Gubbins (75 not out) are slowly chipping away at Warwickshire's first-innings total.

  9. wicket

WICKET Hill c sub b Helm 75published at 11:43 British Summer Time 21 April

    Middx 246 v Yorks 159 & 244

Middlesex will need 158 for their first win of the season.

George Hill gives himself room and tries to hoist Tom Helm over square leg, but only succeeds in picking out substitute fielder Luke Hollman.

It was a fine innings by the Yorkshire all-rounder, containing 11 fours, but has he done enough to give his side a sniff of a chance.

  10. Postpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 61-2

A maiden over is almost a wicket maiden for Migael Pretorius with his sixth delivery beating the bat of Will Young all ends up but not quite finding the edge.

Pretorius can't believe that didn't get a touch!

Lewis Gregory has now brought himself on for a bowl for the first time.

  11. 100 for Dom Sibleypublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 21 April

    Kent 244 v Surrey 221-1

He had to wait for a bit, but Dom Sibley clips Jas Singh away for four and reaches a 187-ball century.

Sibley made exactly 100 against Somerset last week but he'll be wanting to go on this time against an inexperienced seam attack.

  12. wicket

WICKET Lloyd b Mike 54published at 11:38 British Summer Time 21 April

    Derbys 80-6 v Leics 574-7 dec

Benjamin Franklin said that "in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes".

Barring an amazing turn of events, you can add Derbyshire being asked to follow on to that list.

Skipper David Lloyd is seemingly caught in two minds as he is bowled offering no stroke by Ben Mike.

    Sussex 286-6 v Glos 417

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear - it's comedy time at Hove.

Cheteshwar Pujara steers Dom Goodman through the covers and two runs are a formality.

Shall we go for a third? A moment's hesitation and the Indian is beaten by Jack Taylor's throw from the deep as he tries to recover his ground after both batters ended up half-way down.

  15. Durham take their lead past 400published at 11:32 British Summer Time 21 April

Durham 356-5 lead Worcs by 416

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

The key today is to make quick runs and declare.

The weather forecast for Kidderminster tomorrow is dreadful, so if Durham have any chance of winning this, you'd imagine they have to bowl Worcestershire out today.

Ollie Robinson and Graham Clark have taken their partnership to 90 so far. Robinson scored 55 in the first innings and has another 50 today. He also got back to back centuries at Edgbaston last week.

It is a cool day and the temperature is not set to get any higher than 12C, but at least it is a dry day with no rain forecast.

  16. wicket

WICKET Moriarty lbw Bamber 5published at 11:32 British Summer Time 21 April

    Middx 246 v Yorks 159 & 242-9

  17. wicket

WICKET Vasconcelos c Cooke b Hamza 182published at 11:29 British Summer Time 21 April

    Northants 338-3 v Glamorgan 271

Even when you have 180 + on the board, a ball like that will still cause problems.

Mir Hamza produces a beauty which leaves Ricardo Vasconcelos off the pitch and keeper Chris Cooke takes the catch.

The Northants opener faces 272 balls and hit 25 fours, sharing a third-wicket stand of 125 with Karun Nair, who is still there on 61.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Ollie Robinsonpublished at 11:28 British Summer Time 21 April

    Worcs 184 v Durham 244 & 358-5

Ollie Robinson reaches 50 in the second innings, just as he did in the first.

He brings up his half-century with consecutive fours off Adam Finch.

It's all looking rosy for Durham at present, they are over 350 in their second innings and lead by 418.

How many more will they want?

Hard yards for the Pears at present.

  19. Postpublished at 11:25 British Summer Time 21 April

    Essex 377 v Lancashire 146 & 30-2

Josh Bohannon gets himself off a pair but is fortunate to survive a big lbw shout not long after when he is struck on the pad by Sam Cook.

A very lucky escape for the Lancashire batter.

  20. 'Kent need early wickets or Surrey are going to motor'published at 11:24 British Summer Time 21 April

    Kent 244 v Surrey 200-1

    Ben Watts
    BBC Radio Kent

Kent certainly need some early wickets that's for sure with Surrey having a good day yesterday in terms of just building the platform.

I think if Kent can't get some early wickets or keep the run rate down to an extent then the danger would be that Surrey are really going to motor today.
