  1. 'What a day for Nottinghamshire'published at 18:30 21 April

    Close: Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 418-2

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

What a day for Nottinghamshire, they lost Haseeb Hameed in the third over of the morning and since then Will Young and Joe Clarke have batted through the next six and a bit hours. They've added 370.

Notts have been on the end of this sort of partnership in the past and have days when they've not taken a wicket but just for once it's nice for Nottinghamshire supporters just to celebrate a high partnership and a high-quality innings from Clarke and Young.

  2. Postpublished at 18:26 21 April

    Kent 244 & 102-4 v Surrey 543-7 dec

Nice shot by Jack Leaning, who strokes Dan Worrall through the covers for four.

Worrall ends the over with a bouncer which Leaning allows to fly over his head, meaning that the ailing Ben Compton will face the music from Kemar Roach in the next one.

  3. Postpublished at 18:20 21 April

    Kent 244 & 98-4 v Surrey 543-7 dec

Cameron Steel has done his bit with the wicket of Joe Denly and Surrey summon Kemar Roach, their quickest bowler, for another burst.

He fizzes one past the edge of Jack Leaning's bat and there is only a single from it.

  4. 'Now Surrey are going in for the kill'published at 18:17 21 April

    Kent 244 & 96-4 v Surrey 543-7 dec

    Ben Watts
    BBC Radio Kent

Still a few inside the ground sticking with this Kent team despite the Surrey domination on day three.

It always felt like the way it might play out today with match situation overnight.

Now Surrey are really going in for the kill.

  5. Close of play at Tauntonpublished at 18:13 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 418-2

The day belongs to Notts, no doubt at all about that.

Joe Clarke finishes unbeaten on 209 and Will Young is also not out on 156.

A truly remarkable batting performance from those two.

A tough, tough day for Somerset who took one wicket all day.

Notts take a lead of 157 into day four.

They had trailed by 223 at this time yesterday.

  6. 150 for Will Youngpublished at 18:13 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 417-2

Will Young passes 150 just before the close,

    Well done that man.

    Well done Notts in general.

  7. Postpublished at 18:13 21 April

    Hampshire 365 v Warwickshire 455 & 30-0

Liam Dawson into the attack for Hampshire and Alex Davies gets tested by a few deliveries which straighten.

Next over and Mohammad Abbas pings Davies on the pad again prompting another loud appeal but again the Warwickshire skipper survives.

  8. 'A bit of a wake up call for Worcestershire'published at 18:12 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 272 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

A real top effort from Durham, they were the best side throughout the game having won the toss and I don't think anybody in the Worcestershire camp will deny them that victory.

It was perfectly engineered and a beautifully timed declaration as it turned out.

    Overall an excellent Durham win.

A bit of a wake up call for Worcestershire after two good performances in the first two games of the season but they won't be too down hearted nor too excited by those first two games. They know it's going to be a tough long season.

They'll be no complaints from the Pears, they've been well beaten. Congratulations to Durham.

  9. WICKET Denly c Lawrence b Steel 38published at 18:10 21 April

    Kent 244 & 96-4 v Surrey 543-7 dec

    Unbelievable.

Cameron Steel is fortunate to concede only one boundary as he sends down three full tosses.

But when he does put one on a length Joe Denly chips it to mid-wicket, where Dan Lawrence takes a good low catch.

Ben Compton - normally an opener - comes to the middle with a sore neck. Still 12 overs to go.

  10. 'An all round good team performance'published at 18:05 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 272 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

An incredible performance from Durham, they've really dominated this game.

The wicket has come and the win has come with fours overs of the day to go.

Paul Coughlin led the way with the ball for Durham.

An all round good team performance.

  11. Postpublished at 18:03 21 April

    Kent 244 & 88-3 v Surrey 543-7 dec

Time for a change by Surrey - it's leg-spinner Cameron Steel into the attack.

A long hop is pulled away for four by Joe Denly, who then gives himself room and then slashes to third man off a thick edge for another.

He is 33 not out and Jack leaning has 17.

  12. DURHAM WIN BY 185 RUNSpublished at 18:02 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 272 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

Durham have about five fielders around the bat of Adam Finch and the ploy works as the Pears batter flicks a Callum Parkinson to Colin Ackermann.

The visitors wrap up the win that had been coming for a long time.

They did it in just about enough time before the threat of going into a potentially weather-affected fourth day become a more likely problem.

A thoroughly deserved win inside three days.

  13. Postpublished at 18:00 21 April

    Hampshire 465 v Warwickshire 455 & 14-0

Warwickshire captain Alex Davies breathes a sigh of relief after a loud lbw shout.

Davies advanced down the pitch to a delivery from Mohammad Abbas then decided to leave the ball and is struck on the pad.

The fact he was so far down the track means he is given the benefit of the doubt. A slow and steady start by the Bears openers.

  14. Latest from Hovepublished at 17:58 21 April

    Sussex 479 v Gloucs 417 & 66-5

Sussex have their tails up but Gloucestershire are now in front again at Hove - albeit by only four runs.

Miles Hammond is 24 not out and Tom Price has four. There are 11 more overs to be bowled.

  15. 400 up for Nottspublished at 17:57 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 405-2

The milestones keep on coming on a memorable day for Notts.

They were 38-1 at the start of the day and up against it.

It's almost 6pm now and they've only lost one wicket.

Somerset's players look, understandably, tired and just want this day to be over.

Maybe their luck with change in the morning.

  16. 'Surrey can't switch off 'published at 17:55 21 April

    Kent 244 & 74-3 v Surrey 543-7 dec

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

These two will make Surrey work.

Surrey can't switch off here because it's one of those wickets when batters get in and once you get used to the pace and the ball keeping a little bit low, I think it's reasonably comfortable to bat on.

  17. Postpublished at 17:53 21 April

    Derbyshire 167 & 159-6 v Leicestershire 574-7 dec

Wickets have been falling around him but Derbyshire's Wayne Madsen has batted with composure against Leicestershire.

Italy international Madsen has 40 off 80 balls as he battles to get the home side through to stumps at Derby.

The weather forecast tomorrow is a little bleak so they may yet salvage a draw despite trailing by 248 runs with only four wickets in hand.

  18. WICKET: Waite c Robinson b Coughlin 62published at 17:51 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 271-9 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

Durham are on the brink of victory,

Matthew Waite has batted well but it's a disappointing way to get out as he follows a Paul Coughlin delivery down leg and gloves it behind to Ollie Robinson.

Coughlin has bowled very well today, taking 4-44 from his 15 overs.

Adam Finch and Joe Leach are at the crease for the Pears.

  19. 'Absolutely tremendous Joe Clarke'published at 17:49 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 392-2

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Tremendous, absolutely tremendous. Joe Clarke throws a punch in the air like he's scored a goal at Wembley.

    That is terrific.

They don't come around that often in a career of a county cricketer but Joe Clarke has got his second double hundred.

And this has been a really good knock from Nottinghamshire.

  20. WICKET Northeast c Gay b Sanderson 18published at 17:46 21 April

    Northants 605-6 dec v Glamorgan 271 & 75-3

That triple century at Lord's must seem a long time ago for Sam Northeast.

A tentative defensive push to a ball from Ben Sanderson results in a slip catch which Emilio Gay snatches at the second attempt.

    Glamorgan is considerable trouble now.
