    Kent 244 & 64-3 v Surrey 543-7 dec

Jordan Clark surprised Joe Denly with one that bounces more than he expects, but the Kent batter survives.

A silly mid-on is now in place as Surrey press for a further breakthrough.

  2. 200 for Joe Clarkepublished at 17:39 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 389-2

    Double hundred for Joe Clarke!

A majestic innings that keeps going and going.

Effortless strokeplay from the Notts batter with the 200 coming from 284 balls with 25 fours and one six.

He is the second player, after Alex Davies of Warwickshire, to post a score in excess of 200 this season.

  3. WICKET Root b Zaib 41published at 17:36 21 April

    Northants 605-6 dec v Glamorgan 271 & 75-2

What a day Saif Zaib is having.

A century earlier on and now he finds a bit of turn out of the footmarks and bowls Billy Root via an inside edge.

Glamorgan are 259 behind as Kiran Carlson comes out, with 15 overs left.

  4. Durham edging towards victorypublished at 17:35 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 260-8 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham's hopes of wrapping this up shortly after tea were put on hold by Nathan Smith and Mathew Waite.

Their partnership of 103 runs was The Pears' highest seventh wicket stand against Durham. It ended when Smith was bowled, off-stump, by Ben Raine for 57.

The Kiwi all-rounder looks a useful addition for Worcestershire this year, having scored 58 at Trent Bridge last week.

There were 19.3 overs left on day three when he departed and 14 overs left when Josh Baker edged Callum Parkinson to the keeper on nine.

Durham need to get the game in the bag today because the forecast tomorrow is not good.

Joe Clarke has now passed Warwickshire's Alex Davies to become the County Championship's highest run scorer this season.

He's also closing in on a double century as a four moves him on to 193.

  6. 'What a day they are having'published at 17:30 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 374-2

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

A really excellent partnership between Joe Clarke and Will Young.

You can only take your hat off if you are wearing one and congratulate these two Nottinghamshire players.

Wonderful strokeplay, what a day they are having, they'll remember this day for the rest of their careers.

  7. 50 for Matthew Waitepublished at 17:29 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 259-8 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

Matthew Waite had been somewhat marooned at the other end as Smith and Baker departed but he eventually now passes 50.

In the circumstances, a very good knock.

He's joined by Pears stalwart Joe Leach.

  8. WICKET van Buuren lbw Carson 23published at 17:29 21 April

    Sussex 479 v Gloucs 417 & 53-5

"Trying to rebuild" they were, but now Graeme van Buuren has gone at Hove.

He makes a hash of trying to pull spinner Jack Carson to square leg and is plumb in front.

Gloucestershire are still nine runs behind with half their side dismissed.

  9. Postpublished at 17:28 21 April

    Kent 244 & 52-3 v Surrey 543-7 dec

Glorious on-drive by Joe Denly and that's four runs off Jordan Clark.

The next one disappears through square leg as Kent pass 50 - but they need a lot more runs from the former England batter with Ben Compton still nursing a sore neck.

  10. Division Two updatepublished at 17:27 21 April

Gloucestershire are trying to rebuild after the loss of four early wickets at Hove. Graeme van Buuren and Miles Hammond are together and they are 51-4, still 11 runs behind against Sussex.

Billy Root has advanced to 37 not out for Glamorgan, who are 66-1 in their second innings, and 268 behind after Northants piled up 605-6 declared during the afternoon.

  11. WICKET Dal c Cox b Mike 10published at 17:27 21 April

    Derbyshire 167 & 144-6 v Leicestershire 574-7 dec

Ben Mike keeps Anuj Dal honest with some largely disciplined bowling and then gets his reward with a strangle down the leg side.

Five dots and then Dal attempts to help it on its way but feathers it and Foxes wicketkeeper Ben Cox takes a fine diving catch to his right.

  12. WICKET: Baker c Robinson b Parkinson 9published at 17:26 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 255-8 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

Worcestershire are eight down as Callum Parkinson has Josh Baker is caught behind.

Just two wickets needed for Durham with 13 overs left.

  13. WICKET Brown c Yates b Briggs 49published at 17:24 21 April

    Hampshire 365 v Warwickshire 455

Hampshire wicketkeeper Ben Brown produced a dogged lower order knock but with just last man Mohammad Abbas for company he gets caught in two minds and misses out on his half-century.

Brown skips down the track looking to go over the top but ends up pushing at it and a leading edge is held by Rob Yates diving forward at extra cover.

Hants are dismissed for 365 and trail Warwickshire by 90 runs.

  14. 350 up for Nottspublished at 17:21 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 365-2

And the 300 partnership between Joe Clarke and Will Young.

    Incredible batting from the duo.

  15. WICKET Finch lbw Clark 24published at 17:16 21 April

    Kent 244 & 38-3 v Surrey 543-7 dec

Harry FInch is not happy with that decision - but he has to go.

Jordan Clark strikes a third blow for Surrey and this is why they are so successful in the red-ball game - they are relentless.

Clark thinks he has Joe Denly with the next ball, but this time the umpire disregards the appeal.

In theory, there are 24 overs to follow this one and it could be a very uncomfortable session for Kent.

By the way, Clark appears to have abandoned the top knot for this innings - he's sporting a headband instead.

  16. WICKET Abbott c Miles b Yates 3published at 17:15 21 April

    Hampshire 261-9 v Warwickshire 455

An ugly swipe from Kyle Abbott to the leg side off Rob Yates but his timing is poor.

Craig Miles makes meal of the catch but somehow clings on to give part-time off-spinner Yates his fourth wicket.

  17. WICKET ul Hassan c McManus b Weatherall 16published at 17:11 21 April

    Northants 605-6 dec v Glamorgan 271 & 46-1

Zain ul Hassan goes for a big drive, doesn't get his front foot to the pitch of the ball and edges through to keeper Lewis McManus.

Good bowling again from Raphael Weatherall to lure him into attempting the stroke.

Sam Northeast is the new Glamorgan batter.

  18. Double celebration for newlywed Youngpublished at 17:09 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 331-2

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Will Young just got married and this is his first match since becoming a newlywed.

That was his 16th first class hundred and his second for Nottinghamshire in only four games.

He got one on debut last year and has one this year.

    Many congratulations.

  19. WICKET: Smith b Raine 57published at 17:06 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 238-7 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

    Breakthrough for Durham!

Ben Raine has clean bowled Nathan Smith and the partnership, which was worth over 100, is broken.

Now, that feels like an important wicket for the visitors who may now sense they have a chance to wrap things up this evening after what had been a good spell for Worcestershire.

    There are 19 overs left.

  20. WICKET Bell-Drummond b Worrall 10published at 17:04 21 April

    Kent 244 & 34-2 v Surrey 543-7 dec

More excellent bowling from Dan Worrall.

He jags one back at Daniel Bell-Drummond and the middle stump is no more.

Was there an inside edge on that one? Possibly, but that shouldn't take away from the quality of the delivery.
