Lap 10/70
Charles Leclerc is sitting comfortably in the lead as we reach lap 10 of the Hungarian Grand Prix. The advantage he has over Oscar Piastri is 2.7 seconds, but he's on the radio to Ferrari to mention "cuts". Any ideas?

Lap 9/70
Gabriel Bortoleto has been cleared by race control for his false start but his Sauber team-mate Nico Hulkenberg has been hit with a five-second time penalty for the same offence. Hulkenberg is last and Bortoleto is still in points, ahead of Max Verstappen, in sixth.

Lap 8/70
Oscar Piastri is being asked if he thinks a one-stop strategy is possible, as other competitors have been talking about it. The Australian says his tyres OK for now, but who knows, given how many laps there are in this race.

Lap 6/70
Both Saubers have been noted for a false start. Nico Hulkenberg's name flashes up on screen and goes in the naughty book along with his team-mate Gabriel Bortoleto.
Isack Hadjar is on the Racing Bulls radio to say he's in quite a bit of pain, his race start kicking up a bit of gravel when he got caught in the midfield scrap for places.

Aston Martin are at a strategic disadvantage because they've only got one new set of mediums [tyres] and hards for the race.
They have to run the softs at some point probably and that's going to make it difficult for them to compete with the front runners who are faster than them anyway.

Lap 5/70
Isack Hadjar has dropped out of the top 10, while Oliver Bearman lifts his Haas into the points. Kimi Antonelli has gained a couple of places and is now running in 13th spot, but Lewis Hamilton is stuck behind the Italian rookie in 14th.

Lap 2/70
George Russell is hustling, ever so slightly, the McLaren of Oscar Piastri for second place. Charles Leclerc has completed his first task of the day - don't open the door for the McLarens.
Lando Norris has more pressing matters to attend to, as he's now fifth place after starting third.

That is not what Lando Norris needed at this stage of the race, he was looking to go forward.
He got a good start, he got on the inside of Oscar Piastri but when you go on to the inside you've got to brake early, but he got caught out big time by George Russell and then by Fernando Alonso.

Some rain could be edging towards the final corner, so get your ponchos at the ready. Who leads after Turn One? Will it Charles Leclerc? Or will the McLarens pounce early?

We know that the Ferrari in a straight line is strong, so even if Oscar Piastri gets a slightly better getaway, Charles Leclerc has the opportunity to brake late on the inside and hold position going into Turn One.

The top 11 drivers are all starting on the medium tyres from lights out. Lewis Hamilton then changes things up with a set of hards. Carlos Sainz, Williams team-mate Alex Albon and the Sauber of Nico Hulkenberg have gone soft on us.

Constructors' leaders McLaren didn't secure a Hungaroring one-two yesterday but that doesn't matter, as the team are 268 points clear of second placed-Ferrari and 296 free of Mercedes in third. The Scuderia can firm up that second spot before the summer shutdown if Charles Leclerc brings home their first win of the season today.
In the midfield, the margins are so tight that we could see movement in the table after round 14. The Aston Martin duo lead Gabriel Bortoleto's Sauber and the two Racing Bulls cars on the grid, with only seven points separating the three teams teams across sixth, seventh and eighth in the standings.
