Hello, folks. McLaren were the cut above the rest in practice on Friday and Saturday, with Charles Leclerc's Ferrari there or thereabouts in third place. The fight for pole position in qualifying would surely be between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris? Right?

When it came down to the wire, and the wind took a change of direction, it was Leclerc who triumphed to claim his 27th career pole, much to surprise of the rest of the paddock.

The Hungarian Grand Prix starts at 14:00 BST.

Unlike last weekend when the grid had to twiddle their thumbs for an hour and a half because of heavy rain, today's 70-lap race should be a dry contest - but don't hold me to that.
