"Hopefully Tom Daley is over the worst of his yips when it comes to that second dive. This morning was not good but the ability Tom has to put these moments behind him is quite extraordinary. He is so good at parking it and getting up there and doing something good."

  7. Divingpublished at 18:06 British Summer Time 2 August 2014

Which Tom Daley will we see? The 2010 Commonwealth champion or the nervy 2014 Commonwealth first-round struggler?

It wasn't pretty at all from Daley earlier. His yips over the back two and a half twister mean that he was last at one point of the qualification standings, before recovering in style to lead the way into the final.

Not that it mattered too much - all 11 divers went through - but will that dive affect his confidence?
