You know how I said that Scotland are having a good Games?

David McMath's gold is their 30th medal, more than they have ever previously managed in an away Games, beating the 29 they racked up in 2002 and 2006.

Scotland are having a cracking Games, aren't they?

David McMath has the steadiest finger, taking double trap gold.

McMath, a 21-year-old civil engineering student, came 10th in the World Championships last year. English pair Steven Scott and Matthew French, who won gold and silver four years ago, missed out on the final.

Can Uganda qualify for the semi-finals?published at 06:59 British Summer Time 11 April 2018

    Scotland v Uganda (7:02 BST)

Uganda, making their debut at the Commonwealth Games, remember, have the opportunity to reach the semi-finals with a win over Scotland today.

It would be at the expense of world number two side New Zealand or Malawi, but they will have to beat Scotland by a hefty margin (around 40 goals) to be in with any chance of making history.

Meanwhile, Scotland will look to bounce back from their one-goal loss to Malawi in the last match, and record their second victory of the tournament.

Press attache Simon Molombe told the BBC officials viewed it as "desertion" and that the missing athletes had been reported to Australian police.

The three weightlifters and two boxers were last seen at different times on Monday and Tuesday, he said.

    I have a new hero.

Dieudonne Wilfried Seyi Ntsengue of Cameroon.

The hairstyle is the humble part of him. In the ring he did the Ali shuffle, constantly showboated and won into the semi-final of the men’s 75kg by unanimous decision.

He somersaults across the ring at the end. Then he shakes the referees hand and the ref ushers him out. He can’t get rid of him quick enough. He knows he has a firework in front of him.

I’ll call him Wilf and I’ll call him a legend.

This has been a very scrappy fight, lots of wrestling and jostling, trying the referee's patience. Scot John Docherty has a nasty looking cut on his eye. Not sure if that came from a clean hit or, more likely, a clash of heads/elbows...

    “Relax relax”.

England’s Frazer Clarke - the unofficial boxing team captain - is shouting for Benjamin Whittaker.

“Don’t reach with the right hand”, he adds.

Whittaker knows all about the news to relax. He says his parents took him to the gym when he was little because they couldn’t handle his energy levels.
