  2. What you've missed...published at 05:55 British Summer Time 11 April 2018

If you haven't been able to stay up for tonight's action, for once you haven't missed too much.

The home nations have only won one medal over night...

    • The sole medal was a diving silver for England's Alicia Blagg and Katherine Torrance in the 3m synchronised springboard.
    • The duo are a new partnership and have only had two weeks training together before the Games. They said they were "just winging it".
    • Elsewhere, defending champion and Olympic champion Jack Laugher qualified first for the men's 1m springboard final.
    • Northern Ireland's Kristina O'Hara guaranteed herself at least a silver medal by winning her women's 45kg boxing semi-final.
    • England's Paige Murney won her quarter-final bout in the 60kg category to guarentee at least a bronze medal.
    • England guaranteed top spot in netball Pool B with their record biggest win over New Zealand.
    • England's defending champion and Olympic bronze medallist Steve Scott failed to qualify for the shooting double trap final.

    Women's double trap

Scotland's Linda Pearson drops an early target in her final round, before a couple of much-needed maximums, as she bids for a medal in the women's double trap final.

India's Varsha Varman, who is also gunning for bronze, matches Pearson so far, hitting five targets from a possible six.

The bronze looks let to go to one of these shooters.

    Badminton

Scotland's Kirsty Gilmour, the silver medallist in Glasgow four years ago, is on court in her women's singles round of 32 match and is making light work of her opponent Aurelie Allet of Mauritius.

She has raced into a 11-1 lead at the interval with the bright pink shoes on the Scot's feet hardly having to move from the middle of the court.

Scotland's Linda Pearson is in with a chance of claiming a medal in the women's double trap final, as she's currently tied for third, with her final round just about to begin.

But England's Rachel Parish, an A & E doctor from Nottingham, isn't going to repeat the bronze medal she won in Glasgow four years ago, as her final round ends with her down in sixth place and likely to slip to seventh once the remaining competitors have finished shooting.

    Men's 52kg

Oooohhh - loud jeering inside the arena as Brendan Irvine of Northern Ireland is given the decision, a split decision from the judges.

That was a close call as Irvine came back into the fight. He'll now box Reece McFadden of Scotland in the semi-finals.

There's disappointment for two decorated English shooters in the men's double trap, as they both fail to qualify for the final.

Steven Scott, who won Commonwealth gold in Glasgow, finishes down in 13th, while compatriot Matthew French - who finished second behind Scott four years ago - was eighth in qualifying this time, two points off a spot in the final.

However, Scotland's David McMath has qualified for the final in first place, while the Isle of Man's Tim Kneale also performed well in qualifying, finishing third.

But Scotland's Calum Fraser also missed out on the top six, along with Manxman Jake Keeling and two shooters from the Falkland Islands.

    HT: Northern Ireland 32-24 Fiji

The second quarter played out similarly to the first, but Northern Ireland's experience started to show as half time approached as they built up a healthy lead.

Fi Toner, who is having a strong tournament, has been a menace in defence and the Bowman sisters have really started to click in attack.

But there's been plenty of positives in the Fijian performance, with young shooter Laisani Waqi enjoying her best showing of the games.

    Q1: Northern Ireland 14-13 Fiji

Northern Ireland started well in their bid to record a second win of the Games but Fiji have stayed in touch and clawed back a five-goal deficit to trail by just one.

Captain Caroline O'Hanlon has been typically tenacious in the centre court, while Lisa Bowman looked in good nick in the circle, shooting at 92%.

The Pearls have been plucky and displayed some clever play in attack, heading into the first break with the momentum.

Scotland’s Reece McFadden gets in the ring knowing a win over his opponent from Pakistan seals a medal.

His online biography reads: “I love boxing and that’s why I joined a club. I also like fighting so it gave me the chance to do that without getting into trouble.”

    Wise move.

He’s the smaller man in there but lands a peachy left hook early on.

Here comes Scotland's Reece McFadden - he’s certainly had an eventful career to date. At the 2014 Games he shocked the boxing world by defeating Welshman Andrew Selby in his opening fight.

Selby, who is now an undefeated professional, was the world number one heading into the tournament. He finished with an impressive bronze, narrowly missing out on the final after a 2-1 defeat to eventual winner Andrew Moloney of Australia in the semis.

That's lovely stuff. England's Tolchard and Chestney have taken the penultimate and final ends and make it 14-20 overall.

This win confirms Australia as Section D winners, with England runners-up.

It's handshakes all round as the players leave the sun-soaked green for a heard-earned drink of water and sit down.
