    Men's doubles

James Willstrop already has a gold medal to take on the plane back to England after winning the singles earlier this week.

Can he put another bit of bling into his luggage? He's competing with Declan James in the men's doubles - the pair won bronze at last year's World Championships - and they have just beaten India's Vikram Malhotra and Ramit Tandon.

The English pair come from behind to win 10-11 11-8 11-5 and reach the semi-finals.

    Scotland 7-11 Australia

Scotland are going to have to mount a serious comeback to take gold and they're going to need a fair bit of luck too. Maybe this is the start of it.

Facing a nasty situation, Alex Marshall produces what can only be described as a complete fluke. He fires the ball down and the jack rattles around like a pinball before squirming out near to a Scottish bowl. The Scots take one. They're still four behind.

The Aussies take two from the eighth end and their lead is back at five.

There are some concerned faces on the Scottish team now. There are still seven ends left at least.

And the 22-year-old from Cardiff says she's been looking forward to it for a while.

"I just feel like we've been waiting forever to finish. I've seen all the artistic gymnasts eating their pizza and I've been so jealous but now it's my time to celebrate!"

Olympic heptathlon gold medallist on BBC TV

I think KJT has done what she needed to do in both the events today, her long jump was nice and steady, accuracy on the board and over 40m in javelin - she can't ask for more.

That medal will be around her neck and that's what she has been waiting for.

Some will argue she has looked a little flat and lacklustre but sometimes it is just about getting the job done.

She's thinking ahead and preserving her body - getting that medal is all that it's about.

England's Katarina Johnson-Thompson on holding a 174-point lead in the heptathlon ahead of the final 800m event: "I'm just managing myself through morning after a tough day yesterday. It has been me and my coach's decision is to take it easy.

"We felt 200 points was a comfortable lead so I wanted to make sure I get through to the end."

On the gold medal: "I don't think about that until I've crossed the line, in heptathlon there are so many things that can go wrong - as I've discovered in the past. Until I've seen the scoreboard I don't believe it.

"I'm not expecting anything yet, I just want to make it through to the end."

The home fans have been getting into this gold medal match but they are quietened a little as Scotland take two from the seventh end to cut their deficit.

His bout against India's Bajrang - a silver medalist at Glasgow 2014 and the Commonwealth champion in 2016 - will be the first time that a Welsh athlete has fought for gold.

That match will be on after 08:00 BST.

Charig, 26, has only come for the jackpot though.

"I'm here to win. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bothered coming. I've sacrificed way too much," he said.

"I'm poor, I've got no money, I've got nothing. That's why I'm here."

"I know I've won medals in the past but it's been a smoother journey to get to those competitions whereas this has been a really rough and rocky ride for me to get to this competition to be able to compete.

"It was a close call as to whether I would be pulled from the synchro as well. As a competitor I want to do everything possible to compete. I had massage, compression, ice baths... I did everything I could to get myself in best possible shape.

"I tried everything to be in shape to be able to perform and I was happy with my dives today."
