Tom Stewart of England and James McLaughlin of Guernsey have finally been caught. Chapeau to those gentlemen for their efforts today.

New Zealand's riders were key to that. Three of them, including Jack Bauer, pushed hard on an incline and dragged three Australian riders with them, plus Wales' Luke Rowe, among others.

Bauer pushes on again on the next hill. Nobody goes with him and he opens up few seconds' advantage. Can he take this to the line?

    England 44-47 Jamaica

Just 15 minutes left for England to save this game.

Tracey Neville's side are bidding to reach a first ever Commonwealth Games final, but they'll have to turn over a four-goal deficit to do it.

And Jo Harten is back in the shooting circle for England. Helen Housby goes to goal-attack, Natalie Haythornthwaite takes Chelsea Pitman's wing-attack bib.

The winner of this plays Australia or New Zealand in the final.

    It's so tense right now.

You would have put your house on Helen Housby scoring that goal.

Jamaica's bench were going wild there. They know they could have lost that quarter by more.

There have been two or three key moments and all of them have gone Jamaica's way.

The most impressive neckwear of the Games so far. Forget the medals and look at the lanyard of Uganda Olympic Committee president William Blick.

He reckons he is "eight or nine" short of a full set of the different commemorative pins that different teams and broadcasters produce for the Games.

One and a half days left of competition? Can he complete his collection?

Four goals the lead for the Sunshine Girls going into the final quarter.

They've got the momentum but that was a far, far better 15 minutes from England. They won it 16-14 and it's Natalie Haythornthwaite and Eboni Beckford-Chambers leading the Roses' charge for the gold medal match.

    Men's 1500m final (07:10 BST)

Coming up in a minute is the men's 1500m - plenty of home nations interest in this one.

Scotland’s Jake Wightman took a Diamond League victory last summer, a first ever win in the event by a British man and a breakthrough that The Times described as the “most promising performance by a British middle-distance runner for more than three decades”.

Wightman ultimately failed to qualify for the World Championships final and was outperformed by his Scottish teammate and European Championship bronze medallist Chris O’Hare who finished 12th.

    Both go for gold here...

    I’m fuming.

There’s a gap between boxing sessions so when I got here the tables were finally empty. The issue I faced is there was no one to play with.

Now, having turned my back for a few minutes, the venue is open again and I’m pretty much assured of not getting on the tables. Still, this lot are happy.

It's been another action packed night (in the UK) - with plenty of medals handed out already.

In total there are 44 golds up for grabs on Saturday on the Gold Coast...

England beat India 6-0 to claim bronze in the women's hockey - the country's 100th medal at this Commonwealth Games.

Sophie Bray scored a hat-trick after Hollie Pearne-Webb had put England ahead, with Alex Danson and Laura Unsworth completing the rout.

Wales' Dani Rowe finished third in the women's road race as Chloe Hosking won Commonwealth Games gold for Australia.

Scotland's men saw their winning run in the Commonwealth Games basketball tournament end in the semi-finals following a 103-46 defeat to Australia.

After finishing the group stage unbeaten with four victories, Scotland found the gulf in class too great as the hosts eased to victory.

    Road cycling

The men's road race is into the final 18.7km. Eight laps down, one to go. And it promises to be a thriller.

James McLaughlin of Guernsey and Tom Stewart of England have been joined up front by Mitch Docker of Australia and South Africa's Brenda Davids.

Don't expect Docker to do much work in helping this quartet maintain its advantage. He has riders in the peloton who have a better chance of winning. If he doesn't help, then that will disrupt the progress of the leaders - they are already talking to each other to try and work out how to get rid of Docker.

Here comes the peloton, just 40 seconds back. With a couple of climbs left on this closing lap, that lead is nothing.

Kilty has tweaked his podium tracksuit by rolling up his hems, not quite the BeWitched pedel pushers, but not far off.
