Vicki Collins, Deanna Witcher and Natasha Scanlan play in the same team in Brisbane. They feel they’ll get to see Australia win the Commonwealth title on home soil for the first time.

I’d never been to netball before and had no idea it was this kind of carnival. A superb atmosphere outside while inside, the players go through their warm up.

Outside believe me, there is no need to warm up. Scorching.

    Australia v England

England made history yesterday by reaching their first ever Commonwealth Games final. In fact, their first final of any kind at a major global tournament.

But can they go one step further? Can they beat Australia in their own back yard?

The Roses haven't beaten the Diamonds since a series victory way back in 2013, and they've only beaten them five times in their history.

This is a big ask for Tracey Neville's side.

There’s a clear confidence for the Diamonds and speaking to them there appears to be little doubt as so how this one will go.

There’s a whole lot of green and gold facing England. One end of the arena is awash in Aussie gold. The roof sits low in this arena and the Cher’s rattle off it, creating an intense noise.

This was always going to be a big ask for England but seeing the colours and feeling the vibe, they are going to need to conquer Everest.

    Men's marathon

Team Scotland have just issued a further statement on Callum Hawkins, who collapsed while leading the men's marathon a little earlier.

"We are very pleased to report that Callum is sitting up and speaking with his dad and Team Scotland medical staff. He is undergoing further tests as a precaution and we all wish him a speedy recovery."

A few more details on Callum Hawkins collapsing while leading the men's marathon earlier.

Scotland's Hawkins "initially refused medical treatment after collapsing" because he "feared he would be disqualified", Scottish Athletics has told BBC Sport.

His Scottish team-mate Steph Twell, who finished seventh in the 1500m, is in the picture above, with her hand on his head, after running to the scene to help Hawkins as he was taken away.

It’s quite funny how the Aussie crowd make their distaste for New Zealand known, cheering every positive Jamaican move as if they are their own team.

Jamaica are having a party. They've beaten New Zealand 60-55 to take the bronze medal in the netball.

That's their third in Commonwealth Games history, and they've recovered well after yesterday's last-gasp defeat by England in the semi-final.

New Zealand, having missed out on their first ever final, now leave Australia with nothing. Astonishing. What on earth went wrong?

They'll have to recover fast though, we've got a World Cup in Liverpool next year!

India's Sharath Achanta has beaten England's Sam Walker 4-1 to take the bronze medal in the men's singles competition.

Achanta raced into a two-game lead before Walker fought back to take the third - but it wasn't enough to deter the 35-year-old who leaves the Gold Coast with three Commonwealth medals.

Hawkins' brother provides updatepublished at 03:22 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    Men's marathon

Earlier, Scotland's Callum Hawkins collapsed just over one mile from the end of the marathon at the Commonwealth Games when leading by almost two minutes.

His brother Derek - also a marathon runner, but who did not compete in Gold Coast - has provided an update on Callum's condition.

"Thanks everyone for their messages of support," Derek wrote on Twitter.

"As reported Callum's in hospital, is conscious/talking and getting appropriate medical attention.

"Can't describe how upsetting and distressing it was to watch but just glad he's alright."
