  1. Jamaica with narrow leadpublished at 02:43 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    HT: Jamaica 29-27 New Zealand

This one is closer than expected.

New Zealand fight their way back into the match, take the second quarter and narrow Jamaica's lead to just two goals at half time.

    Squash: men's doubles bronze-medal match

England's James Willstrop and Declan James won the first of this best-of-three bronze-medal match - and now they're taking control of the second against Scotland's Alan Clyne and Greg Lobban.

James whacks in a winning backhand to put them 5-2 ahead, accidently knocking off the protective guard on Clyne's head with his follow through. Ouch!

  3. England lose to New Zealandpublished at 02:41 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    FT: New Zealand 26-5 England

That was a brave effort from England, but Portia Woodman flies down the right wing, dances with the sideline and slides over the line.

Done and dusted for New Zealand. They had to work hard, but they're through to face Australia in the gold-medal match.

England will take on Canada for bronze.

Walker chasing bronze medalpublished at 02:39 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    Men's singles bronze medal match

England's Sam Walker is underway in his bronze medal match against India's Sharath Achanta - though Achanta has wasted no time in opening up a 4-0 lead in the first game.

Walker already has a bronze to his name following the men's team success, can he double up?

  5. rugby sevens

England need to replypublished at 02:39 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    New Zealand 19-5 England

The players are out on their feet. I'm exhausted just watching this.

New Zealand finally score the first try of the second half as they swiftly turn defence into attack. I think the ball was in play for over three minutes before Shakira Baker crossed the whitewash.

England need two converted tries or they're playing for bronze.

  6. rugby sevens

New Zealand lead by one scorepublished at 02:32 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    HT: New Zealand 12-5 England

And that's half time. Cold towels for all the players. It's hot out there and a place in the gold-medal match is on the line.

New Zealand are heavy favourites, but there's only one score in this.

  7. rugby sevens

Tide turns againpublished at 02:30 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    New Zealand 12-5 England

New Zealand's Portia Woodman is away and gone... or not. She fails to score!

Two white shirts get back to stop her just inches from the line and Lydia Thompson's turnover is good.

I've never seen Woodman stopped like that, and New Zealand were caught watching too.

But Michaela Blyde finishes off a well-executed move as the Kiwis move back ahead. This is enthralling.

England take opening game against Scotlandpublished at 02:28 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    Squash: men's doubles bronze-medal match

Three game balls for English pair James Willstrop and Declan James in this opening game against Scotland's Alan Clyne and Greg Lobban

Willstrop serves, a rally ensues, James fixes his head-guard mid-point, Clyne hits a backhand winner for 10-8.

A second chance for the English to take it goes when Clyne stops James reaching a ball, James can't believe the Scot isn't penalised.

No bother. James takes revenge by hitting the winner with a deep backhand to the back corner.

  9. England levelpublished at 02:27 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    New Zealand 5-5 England

Both captains leading from the front in this one.

England's Abigail Brown replies to the opener from Sarah Goss with a score of her own. She sees a gap on the outside of Portia Woodman and flies over the line.

All-square as another conversion attempt goes amiss.

  10. rugby sevens

This is the big one...published at 02:25 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    New Zealand 5-0 England

Right, we're under way in the first big match of the day in the sevens.

England's women take on New Zealand in the semi-final, and for a chance to play for gold.

But what a way to open the semi. New Zealand captain Sarah Goss is over the whitewash already, conversion misses though.

    Watch live here.

  11. Jamaica into a four-goal leadpublished at 02:21 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    Q1: Jamaica 15-11 New Zealand

No surprise there, Jamaica have taken the first quarter and they're leading by four goals after the first 15 minutes.

New Zealand goal-attack Maria Folau has been a bit off colour, missing four of her 10 attempts for the Silver Ferns. She's had a troubled tournament, will it be the last time we see her in a black dress?

Jamaica, as usual, are sitting on 94% shooting accuracy with captain Jhaniele Fowler-Reid in that circle.

    Men's doubles bronze-medal match

We've got a 'Battle of Britain' going on over on the squash courts.

England's James Willstrop, alongside Declan James, is hoping to claim another medal after winning singles gold.

Willstrop and James are up against Scotland’s 2016 world champions Alan Clyne and Greg Lobban.

Clyne was fourth in the men’s doubles at both the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games. Can he avoid an unwanted hat-trick?

The Scots are trailing 6-5 in the opening game of this best-of-three match.

    Adcocks win mixed doubles gold

Chris and Gabby Adcock were so overcome by excitement after fighting back to claim a dramatic Commonwealth gold that they left their rackets on court and the officials came rushing over to return them moments before our interview.

The married pair understandably were a little emotional after defending the title they claimed at Glasgow 2014 with Gabby in particular shedding a few tears after overcoming an ankle ligament problem earlier in the year.

"It’s been a real fight and I don’t like competing when my preparations haven’t been perfect -which they have been far from here. But that makes us so proud of what we’ve done," she tells me.

Chris adds: "We started slowly and really had to dig deep today. But we’ve had to do that throughout the last few years after losing funding so we know how to battle and we’re just so happy to do that for England today."

Bronze medal matchpublished at 02:01 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    Jamaica v New Zealand

    This is your warm-up.

If you're awake nice and early for England's gold-medal match against Australia, how about watching Jamaica and New Zealand fight it out for bronze first?

Jamaica won the bronze, by beating England, four years ago.

New Zealand have never been here. They've only ever played for gold, but they've been poor on the Gold Coast and they'll need to find another gear to see off this impressive Jamaica side.

    Silver Medal - Liam Pitchford & Tin-Tin Ho (England)published at 01:59 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    Mixed doubles

Liam Pitchford and Tin-Tin Ho had to settle for silver at Glasgow 2014 - unfortunately they are going home from Gold Coast with the same colour.

The English team lose in three straight games, but that doesn't tell you how they have pushed Gao Ning and Yu Mengyu from Singapore all the way.

    They win gold with a 12-10 12-10 11-9 victory.

Scotland beat Walespublished at 01:58 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    Scotland 19-12 Wales

Scotland edge out Wales in the men's qualification matches and they'll go on to play for 5th-6th place. Wales will have to settle for 7th or 8th.

A bit of a shock really for the Welsh, who had been looking good at the Robina Stadium.
