  1. wicket

WICKET: Holder b Raine 18published at 11:37 British Summer Time 20 April

    Worcs 110-5 v Durham 244

Apologies, Pears fans for tempting fate about how well Worcestershire had started.

Jason Holder and Jake Libby's partnership had been looking good, they were hitting a few boundaries and looked set for a good session.

But Ben Raine upsets the applecart by bowling the West Indies man and all of a sudden there is a different complexion on the game.

  2. wicket

WICKET Ingram c Nair b Sanderson 82published at 11:34 British Summer Time 20 April

    Northants v Glamorgan 236-8

You won't see many better catches than that.

Ben Sanderson finds the edge of Colin Ingram's bat and Karun Nair dives to his right at first slip to take it one-handed.

Fabulous effort by the Indian and it ends a stand of 65 for Glamorgan's eight wicket. Ingram faced 125 balls and hit a six and nine fours.

  3. 100 up for Essexpublished at 11:34 British Summer Time 20 April

    Essex 100-1 v Lancashire 146

Dean Elgar pushes a Tom Bailey delivery through the legside and those couple of runs pick up the 100 for the home county.

They are just 46 runs behind and hold all the aces in this match.

  4. wicket

WICKET Eskinazi c Lyth b Thompson 0published at 11:31 British Summer Time 20 April

    Middx 115-5 v Yorks 159

A double blow for Middlesex at Lord's.

Ryan Higgins is bowled for nine by an absolute jaffa from Ben Coad and in the next over Stevie Eskinazi edges Jordan Thompson and Adam Lyth takes his second good catch of the morning - he's surely one of the safest slip fielders around.

Yorkshire have now taken three wickets for 17 runs, but Leus du Plooy is still there on 41 not out.

  5. 6 runs

Six for Jason Holderpublished at 11:31 British Summer Time 20 April

    Worcs 104-4 v Durham 244

Big shot from Jason Holder as he frees his arm to pull the last ball of a Ben Raine over for six.

That also takes Worcestershire over the threshold of 100 runs.

Jake Libby has moved on to 45 and the Pears have started well in Kidderminster.

  6. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Canterburypublished at 11:31 British Summer Time 20 April

    Kent 144-4 v Surrey

Another boundary for George Garrett as he runs Kemar Roach down to third man off a thick edge. No chance there, it was all along the ground.

Garrett adds two off the next ball but rain has now arrived and they are heading off the field.

  7. Postpublished at 11:29 British Summer Time 20 April

    Essex 91-1 v Lancashire 146

A good punch down the wicket brings Dean Elgar four runs and he is now on 30.

South Africa's lack of Test cricket is Essex's gain as they have got him for two whole seasons.

An excellent replacement for the retired Sir Alastair Cook.

  8. Division Two updatepublished at 11:29 British Summer Time 20 April

Leicestershire have lost their first wicket of the day at Derby with Lewis Hill caught at second slip off Sam Conners for 47, leaving them on 184-3.

Glamorgan's overnight pair are still together against Northants, with Colin Ingram 78 not out and Mason Crane on 35, in their score of 232-7.

Zafar Gohar has reached a 79-ball 50 for Gloucestershire at Hove with a cover drive for two off Ollie Robinson. They are 358-8 and Gohar and Zaman Akhter have reached a 50 partnership.

  9. Postpublished at 11:25 British Summer Time 20 April

    Hampshire v Warwickshire 356-4

After 26 overs yesterday, Liam Dawson is thrown the ball early today by Hampshire captain James Vince.

His first over gives up two singles off the first five balls, before Danny Briggs sweeps the last one for the first four of the day.

  10. 'Wicket will give Notts a boost'published at 11:25 British Summer Time 20 April

    Somerset 127-2 v Nottinghamshire 193

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Getting a wicket relatively will give Notts a boost

That was Luke Fletcher's 449th first class wicket and he'll be grateful to Jack Haynes for taking the catch.

  11. Postpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 20 April

    Kent 133-4 v Surrey

    Well, well, well.

Tom Lawes tests George Garrett out with a bouncer and the left-hander swivels to pull it away for four.

Lawes repeats the tactic next ball with the same result and kicks the ground in frustration. The Surrey paceman's dander is now up.

  12. wicket

WICKET: Dickson c Haynes b Fletcher 72published at 11:21 British Summer Time 20 April

    Somerset 126-2 v Notts 193

A wicket, and a much-needed one for Notts as Luke Fletcher removes Sean Dickson.

The Somerset opener only adds two to his overnight total as he swings at an outswinger from Fletcher and catches it very well but sends it straight to Jack Haynes.

It's still a good take from the fielder as that was travelling.

  13. Shorts?published at 11:20 British Summer Time 20 April

    Hampshire v Warwickshire 350-4

It is a day for coats at the Utilita Bowl, although we can spot a spectator in shorts. Klaxon!!

However, the man's decision to dig in his bag and put a woolly hat on probably tells us more about the Southampton weather.

On the field, night-watchman Danny Briggs squirts out to deep point and the single brings up the 350 for Warwickshire and their third batting point.

  14. wicket

WICKET Stoneman c Lyth b Thompson 42published at 11:17 British Summer Time 20 April

    Middx 97-3 v Yorks 159

Mark Stoneman, beaten outside off stump the ball before, pushes at an angled delivery from Jordan Thompson and Adam Lyth swoops at second slip to take the catch just millimetres above the turf.

Yorkshire have the breakthrough and that ends a stand of exactly 60 with Leus du Plooy, who has now been joined by Ryan Higgins.

  15. Postpublished at 11:17 British Summer Time 20 April

    Kent 117-4 v Surrey

    A nighthawk he isn't.

Kent badly need George Garrett to stick around and he is doing his best to keep Surrey at bay in these initial overs.

Tom Lawes temps him outside off stump with a full length delivery, but the left-hander makes no contact with a tentative prod.

  16. Postpublished at 11:14 British Summer Time 20 April

    Essex 83-1 v Lancashire 146

George Balderson, coming round the wicket, hits Dean Elgar on the pads. It's a half-hearted appeal as Elgar is probably outside the line.

Next ball, he digs it in and the ex-South Africa opener pulls it through leg to the boundary, the first of the day.

Then when Balderson offers a bit of width, Elgar guides it low past gully for another four.

  17. 'Warwickshire batted well but job not complete'published at 11:14 British Summer Time 20 April

    Hampshire v Warwickshire 345-4

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

I wouldn't say it's warm but it is a pleasant day for cricket.

Warwickshire batted well yesterday but they haven't completed the job.

  18. Division Two updatepublished at 11:14 British Summer Time 20 April

Gloucestershire have added 22 to their overnight total at Hove and are 341-8 in the 93rd over, with Zafar Gohar now 39 not out.

Glamorgan's overnight are also still together at Wantage Road, with their total 209-7 in the 59th over. Colin Ingram is 75 not out.

Tight bowling by the home side in the opening overs at Derby, where Leicestershire are 172-2 with Marcus Harris on 77.

  19. Postpublished at 11:10 British Summer Time 20 April

    Worcs 87-4 v Durham 244

Durham hands go up in appeal as they think they've got an early breakthrough against the hosts by taking the wicket of opener Jake Libby.

Matthew Potts tries his luck with an lbw appeal alongside his team-mates but the umpire remains unmoved.

It looks like it was going well down leg to be honest.

And Jason Holder gives the umpire some assistance by pointing that out with a few arm gestures!

  20. 'The sky is a battleship grey'published at 11:10 British Summer Time 20 April

    Kent 111-4 v Surrey

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

We came here in the bright sunshine and the game starts at 11:00 and these filthy, dirty grey clouds have come over and the sky is a battleship grey somewhat.
