Seeing it like a watermelon? Shikhar Dhawan is seeing it like a space hopper now as he sweeps Imran Tahir for a single down to third man. When he is returned the strike, he swivels on a short ball and flicks four to the deep square leg boundary. As for Ajinkya Rahane, his timing is better than a Swiss watch as he middles everything which comes his way. The little right-hander is a man for all conditions. What a prospect.
Jared Maobe:, external I think the Proteas are totally slow in reaction vs India. They're easily assisting India score extra runs.
Duminy continues off his few paces, the noise remains at incessant levels, increasing a decibel or two when Rahane thumps a short one for four and glances the next one to the boundary as well.
Parm Bilkhu:, external Fantastic century by Shikhar Dhawan. Scoring runs when it matters at a big event (again).
Andrew Samson
BBC Test Match Special statistician
Dhawan's century off 122 balls is the slowest of the 30 ODI hundreds made for India since Sachin Tendulkar took 138 balls to reach 100 against Bangladesh at Mirpur on 16 March 2012.
Shikhar Dhawan has made India's 15th ODI century against South Africa - 12 of these have been scored by opening batsmen.
Barry Richards
Ex-South Africa batsman on BBC Test Match Special
"He took his time, nice partnership with Virat Kohli and they've set a good platform. South Africa have got a real problem."

There it is! Shikhar Dhawan has the best part of 85,000 adoring supporters inside the MCG in the palm of his hands as he brings up his seventh ODI century by hitting Wayne Parnell through the off side for four. The left-hander breaks into a huge smile as hundreds of Indian flags are waved in the crowd.
Tayo Sowole:, external Re: 33 Overs. Don't rate Dhawan either but he gets the job done. The scoreboard never lies.
David Hussey
Former Australia batsman on BBC Test Match Special
"When you're on 99 you should be seeing it like a water melon and thinking about the celebration you're going to do."
Steady Shikhar, steady! A huge roars sweeps the MCG when Dhawan faces up on 99 not out and twice he pushes the ball into the off side and sets off for a single which just isn't there. Three dot balls from JP Duminy leave the crowd on the edge of their seat.
Afghanistan Mohammad Nabi: "We started very well but we were 30 or 40 short on that pitch. For the first 10-15 overs we bowled very well but missed a few run outs. It was a tough game and the boys played very well."
Sri Lanka's Angelo Mathews: "Afghanistan put us under a lot of pressure and we had to fight really hard to the last ball. We need to work really hard to get to the top teams."
Akhil Dhoot:, external You've got to feel for Afghanistan, they deserved to win today. Hope they create a major upset in this tournament.
Right, it's 6am and I'm going to throw something out there... I don't rate Shikhar Dhawan. I've seen him score lots of runs, and to take a hundred off this South African pace attack would be a superb achievement, but I have so many doubts about his technique. Agree or disagree? You probably think I'm crazy saying something like that about a player with thousands of international runs at a decent average and excellent strike-rate.
Left-arm quick Wayne Parnell is bowling at the moment and when he drops short, Ajinkya Rahane - who, for the record, I think is an excellent player - pulls four through mid-wicket. An outside edge past slip also brings four. Good over for India.
We're going to pick this game up with India 156-2 after 32 overs. Shikhar Dhawan is 95 not out.
Right then, we'll hear from the two captains shortly. But let's get stuck into a clash of two cricketing heavyweights. India v South Africa in front of 85,000 at the G. What's not to like about that?
Murali N:, external Wonderful game and proud to have watched it.
It's pretty hard to finish off Sri Lanka, isn't it? If Kumar doesn't stand up, Mahela generally does. Angelo Mathews and Tillakaratne Dilshan are of the world-class variety too. I'd suggest it's their bowling which might see them fall short in this competition.
Afghanistan's two quicks - Hamid Hassan and Shapoor - would not look out of place in the bowling attack of any of the top Asian nations.
Sri Lanka's Mahela Jaywardene, who scored 100 off 120 balls: "We dodged a bullet today. All credit to Afghanistan, they batted really well and bowled beautifully. Their bowlers pitched the ball up, got a bit of movement and had pace. They were a handful. It's not a big gap between the top countries and the others. When the wickets were dropping, I wanted to make sure I batted through. Angelo batted well too and Thisara finished it off for us. All in all, it was a good effort."
