Perhaps Jake Ball has found a new way ideal way of bowling T20 matches as he is again sent for a four, this time by Mark Cosgrove, before the Foxes captain has his stumps rearranged.

Ball, who has bowled just one dot ball in his three overs so far is now 3-27 off three overs.

Andrea Agathangelou and Umar Akmal are at the crease for Leicestershire as Stuart Broad comes on to huge cheers from the Trent Bridge crowd.

An excellent powerplay for Lancashire, with Ashwell Prince and Karl Brown looking relatively untroubled.

Brown welcomed Richard Pyrah's introduction to the attack by belting him for a huge, straight six. The beer snakes have started popping up as Adil Rashid searches for a breakthrough.

Rashid's first over is too full but neither batsman can capitalise on the looser deliveries. Brown sweeps his final ball for four as Lancashire continue their good start.

The Durham innings comes to a close with John Hastings and Usman Arshad at the crease. That looks a bit short of a winning score but we shall see...

  4. Postpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

David Willey's stay at the crease is short and sweet as the continually impressive Joe Leach has him caught by Ed Barnard for just 12.

Barnard's first over then goes for just one run as Worcestershire continue to apply pressure on the Northants' batsmen.

Jake Ball is going at a fairly expensive rate at the moment but he's picking up vital wickets as he bowls Ben Raine for five after conceding two poor boundaries.

Leicestershire are without big hitters Grant Elliot and the O'Brien Brothers, Kevin and Niall, so Andrea Agathangelou walks to the crease ahead of Umar Akmal.

The re-jigged Foxes batting line-up is up against it at Trent Bridge.

  6. SOMERSET BEAT HAMPSHIRE BY EIGHT WICKETSpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

Chris Gayle hits the winning runs with a six... How else would you expect the World Boss to do it? He ends on 85 not out, with eight sixes and four boundaries to his name - and a T20 Blast average of 328!

  7. WICKET Cook (c Curran b Dunn 8)published at 20:17 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

That's not a great shot from the England captain. Alastair Cook is out for just eight after he is caught at deep square leg off the bowling of Matt Dunn.

Ravi Bopara is at the crease and it's not the start Essex would have been hoping for.

  8. WICKET Livingstone (c Rashid b Maxwell 27)published at 20:16 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

Liam Livingstone has struck Tim Bresnan for a huge six. He swivel-pulled a decent length delivery into the top stand at Headingley and it only just lands inside the ground. That is some shot.

Glenn Maxwell comes on and Matthew Fisher drops a simple chance at mid-wicket from Livingstone. Not that it matters - Livingstone miscues a sweep shot the next ball and Rashid takes a good catch to dismiss the youngster.

A thumping start for Middlesex as Dawid Malan hits three fours in the second over before Nick Compton hits three boundaries of his own in the following over.

A long way to go, of course, but they're seizing the initiative in the opening stages of their innings.

Northants are going to need David Willey to be firing on all cylinders if they are going to chase down the mammoth target set by Worcestershire and after Joe Leach's first over goes for only four runs, Willey hits a pair of boundaries off Jack Shantry to pick up the run-rate.

Tim Bresnan takes the second over and Liam Livingstone flat-bats his second ball for a straight six. Bresnan responds with a gem of a delivery that just seams away from Ashwell Prince at the last minute.

Liam Plunkett takes over from Matt Fisher and Livingstone drives him through the covers for four. An excellent diving stop from Gary Ballance stops another boundary but Lancashire have started well.

Bit of a shame for Fidel Edwards as his final two balls are smacked to the boundary by James Hildreth. The West Indies man has bowled 15 dot balls from his 24 balls, ending with figures of 1-20.

Chris Gayle is unbeaten on 63. Just another day at the office for the big Jamaican.

Not the greatest of starts for Notts' bowler Jake Ball as his three of his first four balls are called wides before the second legitimate ball is sent to the boundary by Ned Eckersley.

However, Ball has his revenge three balls later as James Taylor takes a smart catch at point to get rid of the batsman for just four.

Gordon Muchall and Paul Collingwood are at the crease for Durham, knocking the ball about without too much bother - but also without too many boundaries, with just one four from the last five overs. Time to put the foot down now, surely?

A brave choice from captain Andrew Gale as he gives 17-year-old Matthew Fisher the ball for the first over. His second ball is short and Ashwell Prince gratefully pulls it for four.

Despite a leg-side wide, Fisher finds some swing and the rest of the over is reasonably tidy.

38 runs come off the final three overs of Worcestershire innings as they score their fifth highest T20 total, thanks to a brilliant 90 off 50 balls from Moeen Ali.

The England all-rounder shared a century stand with captain and fellow opening batsman Daryl Mitchell (43) while Tom Kohler-Cadmore's 30 off 18 balls and Ross Whiteley's 20 off nine balls propelled the Rapids past 200.

David Willey was the pick of the bowlers for Northants finishing with 1-32 from his four overs and Shahid Afridi ended with 1-39 but the three other bowlers all went for over 10 runs an over.

  17. GLOUCESTERSHIRE BEAT KENT BY NINE WICKETSpublished at 19:59 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

After Kent's stunning win at Somerset last week, they came into this game leading the south table but they were completely dominated with both bat and ball.

Michael Klinger (69) and Ian Cockbain (54) guided them to victory after a tight bowling display, led by Benny Howell with 3 for 18.

Not many would have predicted this result for the Gladiators who now have eight points, level with Kent.

After Surrey looked to be sailing their way to a modest finish, in comes Zafar Ansari who hit two sixes and a four in the penultimate over to boost their score.

Not even the loss of Gareth Batty from the final ball could dampen their spirits as number seven batsman Ansari's unbeaten 39, along with Kumar Sangakkara's 58 helps Surrey to a decent finish.

  19. 50 Gayle (36 balls, 3 fours, 4 sixes)published at 19:57 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

It's turning into the World Boss show without the man himself really getting out of second gear. Two sixes off the 13th over brings up his 50 and Somerset's ton. You have to say he's producing the goods for his county. Unless Hampshire can get him out pretty quickly it's going to be a canter to victory for Somerset.

  20. 50 Ian Cockbain (37 balls, 3 fours, 1 six)published at 19:56 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

And this one is just about all over as Ian Cockbain joins his batting partner in making it to 50.

It took him one more ball, but it's only a matter of time now before Gloucestershire secure the win...
