Nelson strikes and Australia are all at sea on this damp outfield - new batter Erin Osborne goes for a single, comes back for a second which was never there and Sarah Taylor has time to take the bails off in slow motion.

Katherine Brunt was on it like a whippet. She saw the stumps and had time but she threw the kitchen sink at it! If it missed it was going for overthrows. Australia will be disappointed none of their batters have found a way to build a partnership that would take the game away from England.

Another direct hit, and another wicket! Healy pushes the ball into the leg side and sets off for a quick single, bowler Brunt pounces on the ball and demolishes the stumps with a fantastic throw! Seven down.

  5. Aus 109-6published at 18.2 overs

England turn back to the pace of Katherine Brunt - Healy can only poke a single to point. Cameron digs out a full delivery to the same region and they scamper another.

The early wicket of Villani gave them something to hang their hat on.

  7. Aus 107-6 (Cameron 5, Healy 3)published at 18 overs

Wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy joins Cameron at the crease - she's often batted in the top order but finds herself batting at eight today. With England restricting the Aussies to ones and twos, they're in a good position with two overs left.

Excellent catch running backwards, she held herself and made sure she kept her eye on the ball. Australia have consistently lost wickets and Jenny Gunn - went for nine in her first over and dropped a catch - she'll be pleased.

Shrubsole's having a purple patch in the field here, running back and taking a steepling catch at mid-off from Blackwell to give the returning Jenny Gunn her first wicket!

Once you get into direct hit territory it is always difficult to get back in your crease. T20 cricket all happens so quickly.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.4 overs

Harris run out (Shrubsole direct hit) 3 (Aus 98-5)

Blackwell drills the ball to Anya Shrubsole at mid-off - and though not renowned as one of England's fleetest-footed fielders, the Somerset pace bowler throws down the stumps at the bowler's end and Harris's Ashes debut is over nearly as soon as it has begun.

  14. Aus 98-4published at 16.3 overs

Harris steps across her stumps, looking like there's a Jos Buttler-style scoop in her armoury, but she can only hit it straight to short fine leg for a single. Even the Chelmsford scoreboard is struggling to keep up.

They have pushed Harris up the order, she wasn't due to bat until number eight.

  16. Aus 94-4 (Blackwell 15, Harris 2)published at 16 overs

Harris has two singles from two balls, but a lot also depends on the experienced Blackwell. Danielle Hazell is back on the field, and moving much better than she was after taking a knock earlier.

  18. Aus 91-4published at 15.4 overs

It's time for Grace - not WG, but young Queensland all-rounder Grace Harris, who comes with a big reputation. She's off the mark with a single as Knight has had a change of ends, but for now she's overshadowed by Blackwell who does well to crack a four through mid-wicket.

A slower ball from Sciver, she has developed that really nicely over the last six to nine months. Jonassen can clear the ropes so that will be key. England have taken consistent wickets and no-one has quite been able to get going. If England can keep them to around 110 they will feel very much in this game.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15 overs

    Jonassen c Gunn b Sciver 15 (Aus 84-4)

Redemption for Jenny Gunn - having dropped that catch earlier, she comes in from the wide mid-wicket boundary to pluck one out of the air as Jess Jonassen tries to take on Sciver - who makes the breakthrough again and now has impressive figures of 2-0-9-2.
