  1. Ire 147-5published at 19.4 overs

Andy McBrine in for the last three balls of the Ireland innings - and flick-sweeps his first ball for four. A brave shot against the pacy Ansari.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.3 overs

    K O'Brien b Ansari 14 (Ire 143-5)

Spectacular! Ansari slings down a straight ball which makes a mess of O'Brien's poles, with the middle stump flattened and the leg stump knocked out of the ground. It was almost as if he lost sight of it - was one of those insects in his eyeline?

  3. Ire 143-4published at 19.2 overs

Ansari to bowl. Poynter can't get the first ball away, and can only take a leg bye off the second.

  4. Ire 142-4 (K O'Brien 14, A Poynter 11)published at 19 overs

Bilal foxes Poynter with a couple of wideish deliveries as the batsman steps away to leg. But a full toss is smacked over the bowler's head for two, and a single to long-on ensures Poynter will face the first ball of the 20th. Last over coming up!

"That full toss was a freebie."

  6. Ire 139-4published at 18.2 overs

O'Brien smashes Bilal for four through backward point, but can only work a full toss to fine leg for one - he really should have got hold of that one.

  7. 6 runs

    Ire 134-4 (A Poynter 8 from 4 balls)published at 18 overs

Time for some more slingy magic from Munis Ansari, who has 2-17 from his first two overs? Umpire Llong replaces a malfunctioning bail, and Ansari nearly has a third wicket as a yorker hits O'Brien's pad but skids past the stumps. Poynter is off the mark with a well-run two - then gets the crowd on their feet with a massive six into the second tier of the stand behind long-on! With fine leg up, he goes for a ramp shot off the last ball but can't connect and is nearly run out by the keeper.

Two overs left - what can Ireland aim at from here? Can they pass Bangladesh's score of 153 at the same venue earlier today?

  8. Ire 125-4 (K O'Brien 8 from 7 balls)published at 17 overs

Ireland bring in the burly Andrew Poynter at number seven, while Oman turn back to opening bowler Bilal Khan, the left-arm seamer. Kevin O'Brien plunders three twos, and a couple of plays-and-misses, but manages a single to ensure Poynter still hasn't faced.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16 overs

    Wilson b Ansari 38 (Ire 118-4)

Bowled him! The slinger strikes as Ansari rearranges Wilson's furniture quite spectacularly as one stump is blown out of the ground. The Surrey man departs for 38 from 34 balls.

  10. Ire 118-3published at 15.5 overs

Ansari slings one down at Kevin O'Brien, who's replaced his brother, but gets an inside edge onto the pad to stifle Ansari's appeal. Wilson then gets down and Dilscoops him for four!

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.1 overs

    N O'Brien c Mehran b Ansari 16 (Ire 112-3)

The slingy Munis Ansari returns to the attack, and makes the breakthrough as O'Brien skies one off the top edge over square leg. Mehran Khan - who's down at 11 on our scorecard, but hasn't bowled, which makes me think he's not a number 11 - takes the catch.

  12. Ire 112-2 (Wilson 33, N O'Brien 16)published at 15 overs

Left-arm spinner Lalcheta ambles in for his final over - there's a slightly jerky element to his action as he appears to pause at one moment - a bit like a certain Ravichandran Ashwin, the India off-spinner who has just tweeted his support to Lalcheta. Wilson is moving up through the gears, carving another four. With the big-hitting Kevin O'Brien still to bat, Ireland still have plenty in the tank.

    CLOSE!published at 14 overs

    Ire 102-2

O'Brien goes aerial, there's a man chasing round at deep mid-wicket... but he can't get there in time and it bounces just in front of the rope for four. A delicate single brings up the hundred for Ireland. Khawar Ali has 1-20 from three.

  15. Ire 91-2 (Wilson 25, N O'Brien 3)published at 13 overs

Slow left-armer Aamir Kaleem is in for his final over, having bowled his allocation straight through - Ireland busily help themselves to five singles, with the right-hand/left-hand combination forcing Oman into some rather frantic field changes each time. Kaleem takes his cap with figures of 4-0-27-1.

  17. Ire 86-2published at 12 overs

Ireland have both their wicketkeepers at the crease as Niall O'Brien joins Wilson in the middle. Two more singles added.

Porterfield st Sultan b Khawar 29 (Ire 84-2)

This time he's got him! A slick stumping from Sultan Ahmed removes fellow skipper William Porterfield for 29 from 28 balls to break a 36-run partnership.

  19. Ire 81-1 (Porterfield 29, Wilson 18)published at 11 overs

Not the most accomplished piece of wicketkeeping by the Oman skipper Sultan Ahmed - the ball bounced out of his gloves and onto the stumps - but as the flashing bails light up, does Wilson have enough of his foot behind the line? Third umpire S Ravi says so. And a single rounds off the over.

  20. Third umpirepublished at 10.5 overs

Kaleem is feverishly drying the ball with a red towel between deliveries. And as he beats Wilson in the flight, there's an appeal for a stumping...
