So the jittery Aussies get over the line to keep their World T20 campaign alive. Just. Tomorrow, England's women take on hosts India from 10:00 GMT. It should be tasty.

    Until then...

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza: "The first six overs were crucial, because we knew it would be high-scoring. Our fielding and bowling could have been better.

"We've lost two, but we have to play hard in the final two matches and see what happens."

Australia captain Steve Smith: "We made it difficult for ourselves at the end. I thought they bowled well in the middle overs. We needed one of top four to go on and we need to look at that in the next couple of games.

"We haven't been good enough in the middle overs so have to improve in that area.

"We've had a lot of travel, but that's part of playing in a World Cup. We have to improve because India and Pakistan are good in these conditions.

"Conditions are different to what we're used to and we have to adapt better."

Man of the match Adam Zampa: "It was nice to make a bit of a difference.

"It's nice to get off and rolling after losing to New Zealand. After playing in front of 80,000 at the BBL, you get used to the nerves.

"I haven't had a lot of experience over here, but I have to get used to it. The lengths and the pace are different, players can hit you in different areas."

Australia go level with India and Pakistan on two points from two games, New Zealand lead the way with four. Bangladesh are bottom of the table with zip. Still Pakistan and India to play for the Aussies. Improvement needed.

  8. Australia win by three wicketspublished at 18.3 overs

    Aus 157-7

Australia limp over the line. James Faulkner cracks through the off side for four, sealing a three-wicket win. Not convincing from the Aussies, though. If it comes down to them and India for a place in the semis, I know who I'm backing...

  9. Aus 153-7published at 18.1 overs

Peter Nevill down the ground for a single. Four to win.

  10. wicket

    Hastings c Soumya b Shakib 3 (Aus 152-7)

What is going on out there? Have the Aussies promised one of the team will drink for free if they win it with a six? John Hastings holes out at deep mid-wicket. Australia still need five to win. If Bangladesh had taken their chances, they'd have won by now.

    Aus 152-6

Now John Hastings should be run out! Wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim can't gather the throw. Incredible.

  12. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 17.3 overs

    Aus 149-6

Dropped! A dolly. John Hastings, the new man, dinks the ball to cover, where Al-Amin Hossain drops the Ashes. He should be swallowing those.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17.1 overs

Maxwell st Mushfiqur b Shakib 26 (Aus 148-6)

Glenn Maxwell might be the Big Show, but he's not big on brains. With the game in the palm of his hand, he runs at Shakib Al Hasan, tries to hit the ball to Mumbai, gets nowhere near it and is stumped by a mile.

  14. Aus 148-5published at 17 overs

A single off the last ball. 13 from the set. Australia only need nine to win.

  15. 6 runs

    Aus 147-5published at 16.5 overs

And again! This time over long-on! Maxwell really is the Big Show. Almost done now.

  16. 6 runs

    Aus 141-5published at 16.3 overs

Game back off? Next ball, Maxwell whips an attempted yorker over square leg for six. Just bowl more of those off-cutters!

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.2 overs

    Marsh c Shakib b Mustafizur 6 (Ban 135-5)

Well bowled! A lovely off-cutter from Mustafizur Raham completely does for Mitchell Marsh, who can only chip it to the hands of the point fielder. Game back on?

  18. Aus 135-4 (0-4-1-4-1-4)published at 16 overs

This might just be the over that seals it for Australia. Too short, too wide, Marsh now taking four through the off side. 14 from it. The Aussies back on track.

  19. Aus 121-4published at 15.2 overs

More spin, Saqlain Sajib. An opening dot is cheered, but Saqlain can't help but serve up a long hop that Maxwell belts away for four.

  20. Aus 121-4 (need 36 from 30 balls)published at 15 overs

Now, I'm supposed to be impartial but, speaking as an Englishman, I think we'd all like to see Australia mess this one up, wouldn't we? Mitchell Marsh the new man, Shakib's over costing only two runs. Australia have lost 2-6 in the last two overs.
