  1. Ban 127-5 (4-4-1-4-1-1)published at 18 overs

Now Mushfiqur Rahim is in on the act, pulling a short ball from Faulkner behind square leg for four. Uncharacteristic stuff from Faulkner, who is usually very reliable at the death.

  2. Ban 120-5published at 17.2 overs

Better for Bangladesh. Twice James Faulkner is too wide, twice Mahmudullah goes square on the off side for four. Skipper Steve Smith pulls the sort of face my girlfriend does when I leave the toilet seat up.

Danyaal Khan: Stick Bas Zuiderent in as opener.

  4. Ban 112-5published at 17 overs

Shane Watson is back, reaching down into his reserves to complete a trudging run up. Good length, very full, Mahmudullah almost swinging himself off his feet without making a decent connection. Bangladesh have got 15 balls without finding the boundary.

Dan Simmonds: Francis Edwards (12 overs) - Didn't England literally just beat Australia in a 5 Test series? Not sure you can claim best in the world...

  6. Ban 108-5 (Zampa 4-0-23-3)published at 16 overs

Zampa is another one that's been at the Brylcreem. He's also got a face that will never need to see a razor. It's been a lovely spell from the 23-year-old, 3-23 from his four overs. He's also got into the Z XI, which is clearly more important.

Hugh Dickinson: Can we have Zoysa and Zaheer Khan opening the bowling and put Zander de Bruyn in the middle order?

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.2 overs

    Shakib c Coulter-Nile b Zampa 33 (Ban 105-5)

Adam Zampa does it again! Just when Shakib Al Hasan was starting to become a major concern for the Aussies, Zampa has him caught at short third man. Backing off to cut, a little extra zip, a top-edged guide straight to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Big wicket.

    Brett Lee
    Former Australia fast bowler

"You sometimes feel as a fast bowler that, if there is a green tinge to the pitch, you are better off going for the full length and not bothering with the slower ball bouncer."

  10. Ban 104-4 (Shakib 33 from 24)published at 15 overs

James Faulkner back into the attack, hair styled to a standstill. I reckon he'll need a chisel to get all of the gel out of there. Shakib, not intimidated by the perfectly still barnett, steps back to loft over mid-off for four. This is dangerous stand for the Aussies, now worth 26 from 21 balls.

  11. Ban 96-4published at 14 overs

You'd suspect that Adam Zampa has spent some time watching Shane Warne. The approach to the crease is a copy. A few walked paces, then jump into a very shouldery action. He's even got the Warne towel poking out the back of his trousers. He's got a leggy, a wrong 'un and a topper. All the tricks, keeping Shakib honest.

  12. Ban 91-4published at 13 overs

Bangladesh might just be edging to something competitive here. 160 might be on and that would test the Aussies, even if they have got a batting line-up longer than the Nile.

Crunch! Too short from John Hastings, whalloped over square leg by Mahmudullah. Shot of the day, that.

Francis Edwards: Strange how Australia are the best by quite a bit in Tests and especially ODIs, then look so unbalanced in T20. Missing Starc.

  15. Ban 80-4 (Zampa 2-0-14-2)published at 12 overs

Pakistan had a keeper called Zulqarnain Haider. He can wear the gloves in the Z XI. Mahmudullah (a candidate for the One Name XI) is the new man, lucky not to be lbw to another Zampa slider.

Shuvagata lbw Zampa 13 (Ban 78-4)

Adam Zampa has his revenge! A little slider pins Shuvagata Hom in front, the easiest of lbw decisions for Ian Gould. Zampa is doing his bit to be included in the Z XI. To be fair, I've currently only got him in it...

  17. 6 runs

    Ban 74-3published at 11.1 overs

Oh yes! Fetch that! Shuvagata belts Zampa's leggies into the Indian night, over long-on for six. There's a car down there for some reason. The ball almost ends up through the windscreen.

  18. Ban 68-3published at 11 overs

Do let us know if you can help Bob. Not knowing the answer to such questions is enough to drive a man to a padded cell. James Faulkner, hair gelled to attention, is on to bowl his left-arm bag of tricks. With the sort of slight of hand that belongs in the Magic Circle, Faulkner bowls so many slower balls that they should just be called 'balls'. Only four from it.

What was the very first intro music to BBC cricket – I say it wasn’t Song-Soul Limbo but can’t remember the title of the previous music but it would have been circa 1964 when I first started watching cricket……HELP !

  20. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 10 overs

    Ban 64-3

Dropped it! Mitchell Marsh is getting booed out of Bengaluru. New man Shuvagata Hom slog sweeps, top edging, with Marsh coming in off the boundary, sliding, getting the ball in both hands, then shelling it. You should be taking those, Mitchell. Zampa could have had two in his first over.
