Looking again, Smith actually got nutmegged, somehow letting the ball between his legs. Megs! David Warner is the new man. 

It just feels like this game is already decided. Australia's chase is under complete control in the Bengaluru night, the rate managed, the ball not really threatening. It would be some turnaround if Bangladesh can pull it out from here.

I'm being chastised by my gaffer for comparing Usman Khawaja to David Gower. Apparently it's cricketing blasphemy. Either way, he goes to 50 with a cut for four off Shakib. The likes of Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers might have butchered it so far in this tournament, but Khawaja has been the most pleasing on the eye.

On the Aussie balcony, coach Darren Lehmann and selector Mark Waugh sit side by side. There's some runs there. And a few beers.

I'm really struggling to come to terms with the change in Usman Khawaja. It used to be like he was batting with someone else's arms. Now he's David Gower. A back-foot drive off Shakib is liquid chocolate, all warm and gooey.

Captain Steve Smith the new man for Australia. They're still in charge of this chase, but the wicket gives the Tigers a tiny smidge of hope.

The way things are going, a run out looks the only way Bangladesh will get a wicket. My hunch is that Shane Watson is OK, though...

The ball went so high, Australia could have run two. In the end, Khawaja almost got run out just taking a single. Bangladesh ring the changes, bringing on debutant left-arm tweaker Saqlain Sajib. "Bowling, bowling," is the cry from behind the wicket, until Watson helps one over the mid-wicket fence. Catch it in the crowd!

It's a calamity, it really is. Watson gets a leading edge, miles up, so high into the sky that the ball comes down with snow on it. It goes nowhere, surely someone in the ring can catch this with their eyes closed? Inexplicably, mid-on Mashrafe doesn't move, meaning Mithun has to dive from mid-wicket. He gets nowhere near it. It's nearly hit Mashrafe on the head. Mustafizur was already celebrating. Awful stuff.

You've got to feel for Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza. He's had two bowlers suspended, his best batsman is ill and now Watson and Khawaja are toying with his attack. Lovely from Watson, deftly late-cutting Mustafizur for four. Mustafizur holds his side, the injury he had before this tournament. I bet it wouldn't hurt if he was a on a hat-trick...

As ever, you feel like Bangladeshi hopes rest on the shoulders of Shakib Al Hasan. He's on with his left-arm tweakers, but instantly eased through leg side for four by Khawaja, who then lofts over cover for another four. Wonderful timing, like Dave Grohl on the drums. A sweep brings a third straight boundary. Is this really the same Usman Khawaja?

The left-arm pace of Mustafizur Rahman, returning after injury, is into the act, bowling with decent gas. When he appeals against Khawaja, all of the Tigers fans in Bengaluru are up, screaming with arms in the air. Going well down, though.
