So we've seen good wins from England women and New Zealand's men today, one rather more easily achieved than the other. You can listen to a TMS podcast of the England women's match here. 

On Wednesday we have two more matches from the men's competition, England taking on Afghanistan in Delhi and then hosts India against Bangladesh.

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi: "First of all I want to congratulate Kane and his team. I think it was a chaseable total - we played well in the first six overs and after that we didn't play well.

"We played a lot of dot balls. Against the spinners we didn't score a eight or nine an over on the power plays.

"The next game (against Australia on Friday) is important but we still keep repeating the same mistakes – if you make fewer mistakes we will win the game.

"Maybe i'm going to play the last game of my career, so let's see what happens."

Afridi has previously said he intends to retire from international cricket after the World Twenty20.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson: "It's nice to be on a good surface. Off the back of a superb knock from Martin Guptill we played nicely to get a really good total. 

"After a tough start with the ball our bowlers showed composure. I think our total was slightly above par, we knew the first six overs would be key for Pakistan but credit to our bowlers because we pulled it back nicely.

"Our spinners have been consistent and smart. They adapted well on a wicket that didn't have a lot of spin. They way the guys adjusted was very good."

Pakistan's Shahid Afridi: "In every game we are making mistakes and that is not good for our team."

Martin Guptill: "I've got a bit of tightness in my hamstring, that is why I was off the field at the end of the match, but it was precautionary. 

"We found early that the wicket was a bit better than what we've played on and me and Kane Williamson wanted to be aggressive and it worked for us.

"There were targets in the powerplay and we were lucky enough to hit them."

New Zealand's Martin Guptill is the man-of-the-match for his 80 from 48 balls which led the Kiwis to a total that proved too much.

"Pakistan threw everything at them for the first three quarters of that innings but Afridi will feel that is one that has got away. And have they slipped away from this tournament as well?"

After that magnificent start, inspired by the free-flowing Sharjeel Khan, which produced 10 fours and a six in the first five overs, Pakistan went 31 balls without a boundary at the end of the innings. 

New Zealand continually produce when it matters and the boys in beige are the first team through. Even without the inspirational Brendon McCullum they are still upsetting the odds and many congratulations to them. 

There might have been a no-ball for height given against Milne but in truth it did not affect the outcome and Pakistan have not looked likely to chase this down for some time. An impressive win for New Zealand by 22 runs and they are through to the semi-finals.

Pakistan needed two or three boundaries in McClenaghan's final over but they have not got any, New Zealand's athletic fielders patrolling the ropes with eager assurance. So 30 needed from the final over. Pretty unlikely really.

Umair Gooner Ahmed: Pakistan just done an Arsenal and bottled it.

Impressive stuff from the fresh-faced Milne, bowling around the 145km/h mark, and the batsmen cannot get him away.

HShazz: Pakistan have the ability to win this game and more than enough experienced batsmen but we need to just go for it.

A pensive Pakistan coach Waqar Younis looks on from the bench, knowing his team's hopes of progression will be decidedly precarious if they lose this. And unless someone can do something inspirational they are going to lose this. McClenaghan keeps the boundaries at bay and 14 deliveries have elapsed without one. 

The experienced Shoaib Malik is the new batsman but Pakistan cannot find the boundary and they are going to need 13 an over from here.
