Williamson c Afridi b Irfan 17 (NZ 62-0)
Irfan returns and makes the breakthrough as Williamson drives straight into the hands of Shahid Afridi at cover. It was an off-cutter and Williamson couldn't quite get over it. Smart bowling. Pakistan really needed this.
The score predictor suggests New Zealand will end with 198. This wicket is a belter, though. I think they'll fancy getting more than that, especially if Guptill stays around. Imad's second over is a good one, going for just five.
The sixes keep coming. Guptill is on fire. This wasn't his cleanest hit but he still gets enough on it to carry the rope straight. Sami then drops short and is punished with a Guptill brute pull for four. Powerplay over - a really good one for the Black Caps.

John Michael Poole: You feel with the way New Zealand have bowled so far, anything form 140 onwards will be defendable
It is spin time with Imad Wasim. He is not a big turner of the ball, and this pitch is not one built for a lot of turn. The change of pace initially halts New Zealand's momentum until the last ball, which Guptill picks, gets to the pitch and plants into the stand. When Guptill hits it, it stays hit.

"You win the toss, you bat first and you are 35-0 after four overs - you couldn't ask for more than that."
Just the one over for Irfan as Mohammad Sami takes his place in the attack. Sami is a slippy, slidey kind of bowler - a completely different challenge to the towering Irfan. He doesn't provide Guptill any room to swing, restricting the big batsman to a single. Williamson is too smart for him, though, flicking off his legs to find the boundary at fine leg. He is for New Zealand what Joe Root is for England.

Ilyas Najib: The Kiwis have a big, powerful batting line up, the Pakistani side is packed with a good pace attack, game is too close to call
Guptill goes big again. Not as big this time, bringing him four over mid-on from Amir's first ball. Later in the over, he makes room and chops through point for another boundary. His third boundary is a lucky one - an edge that takes the ball to the rope at third man. If you are going to go, go hard. Cracking start for the Black Caps.
It is a classic pairing for NZ - Guptill is brute force, Williamson surgically precise. The latter cuts four more with a deft stroke through backward point.
Smash! Guptill is up and running as he fires a full ball from Mohammad Irfan high over the bowler's head and straight over the rope. Huge.
Good start from Amir. He gets the ball to nip away and has Guptill slashing wildly at one and then stabbing hesitantly at another - missing both times. Guptill does finally connect to collect a single - the only one of the over.
Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson will open for New Zealand. Mohammad Amir has the new ball in his grasp. Here we go...
Anthems time. It doesn't matter whether you are ready for it or not, the sight of Mohammad Irfan towering a good few feet over all his team-mates still catches you off guard.
Pakistan go for hand on heart during their anthem, while New Zealand go for arms round shoulders.

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi after his side were asked to field: "It’s a great surface with a bit of grass on it but it's a bit hard as well. If we bowl in the right areas there's a chance we should take some wickets.
"I've tried to relax these boys and told them to go through the way we’re playing. The last game is history now."
