What a day it has been in the World T20. England put us firmly through the wringer in game one and India and Bangladesh tried to finish us off in game two.

In the words of Big Chris from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, it's been emotional.

Join us on the rollercoaster again on Friday for South Africa v West Indies and Australia v Pakistan.

I'm off for a lie down. I'll see thee.

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza: "The bowler did a great job, and we were on top to the last three balls. It's bad luck, we can't do anything about it.

"It's really disappointing for us. Overall, we've played well."

India captain MS Dhoni: "I don't want to say everything, but the decision was what line and length to bowl. This was the kind of stuff happeneing.

"At time, you look to finish it with a big shot. You might even think others can finish the job. It's learning for all finishers to think that maybe they shouldn't play those shots. Maybe they could have done something else.

"Jasprit bowled really well. He was under pressure in his second over. It's important to forget what has already happen and that's we told him. He's very good with the yorkers and he did really well."

India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin: "That's the most we've talked on a cricket field as a team. We've never got together and worried so much.

"I don't think I've got anything left. I'll go back to my room and crash.

"Jasprit had to come and the way he did it was excellent. I actually told him to try a Mankad at the end.

"We've not batted well, but we have a good batting unit. Once we fire on all cylinders, we'll be contenders for this tournament."

Scenes. That is the only word you can use to sum up that ending and its aftermath.

How did Bangladesh mess that up? It will be the question they will ask themselves for a long time after the dust has settled here. In short, though, they have blown the chance to register a first win over India.

As for the hosts, they have stolen that win through superb death bowling and a huge dollop of gumption. They remain alive and kicking in their home tournament.

I cannot believe it! I truly cannot believe it! India, against all odds have won this game by a run! One single run! Dhoni takes one glove off before Pandya's last ball. He anticipates the throw. But instead, Shuvagata Hom misses the ball, Dhoni collects and charges to whip off the bails before Mustafizur Rahman can get to the crease.

To say the stadium has erupted would be a ludicrous understatement.
