    Mushfiqur c Dhawan b Pandya 11 (Ban 145-6)

Crazy! Mushfiqur goes for glory. He didn't need to, but he did and sends a pull looping up for Dhawan to catch at deep mid-wicket. Two needed from two balls. So, so tense.

  2. Ban 145-6published at 19.3 overs

Oh, unbelievable. Mushfiqur goes for a premeditated scoop and gets away with it, steering the ball past Dhoni for four. Two needed from three deliveries.

  5. Ban 141-6published at 19.2 overs

Mushfiqur beats the field. A big boundary, hit wide of deep cover. It was wide, it got what it deserved. Six to win.

Stab to deep cover. Just one. 10 needed.

Hardik Pandya is returning to bowl the last. No pressure.

  9. Ban 136-6 (need 11 from 6 balls)published at 19 overs

Say what you want about Bumrah, he knows how to bowl a yorker. He forces Mahmudullah to get creative with a steer to fine leg, but the fielder is up and able to stop it passing for four. India then sniff a run out from a direct throw to the non-striker's end but Mushfiqur Rahim is just home for his quick single. It is indicative of the quality fielding that restricts Bangladesh to just six from the over. OK then, whose nerve is going to hold?

"It's a low full toss outside the off stump. He didn't have to do much apart from get it away from the fielder. The man ta deep cover had no chance."

  11. Ban 130-6 (need 17 from 12 balls)published at 18 overs

Just when you think India might have snuck ahead, Bangladesh pull something out. Nehra's last ball is a full toss and smashed through extra cover for four by Mahmudullah. What a game.

"That's a big catch. India needed that. It was in the slot, there to hit. He could have taken it more through the leg side, but picked out Virat Kolhi. That's changed the balance."

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17.5 overs

    Soumya c Kohli b Nehra 21 (Ban 126-6)

Big wicket. Soumya swipes Nehra away for four but doesn't connect with a shot down the ground and is caught by Virat Kohli on the rope. That balance shifts again. India back in it.

True Blues: Scoring 30 odd runs in last four overs will cost India this match.

  16. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 17 overs

    Ban 120-5 (need 27 from 18 balls)

Bumrah returns, aiming to redeem himself after his dropped catch and pummeling by Tamim. He is a class death bowler and gets this spot on to keep Bangladesh in check. Yuvraj Singh also plays a part diving at backward point to prevent a certain boundary and a diving Dhoni just fails to hold on to a slight edge from the last ball. That tension dial is turned up another notch.

  17. Ban 113-5 (need 34 from 24 balls)published at 16 overs

Dhoni wants a wicket for caught behind as Soumya tries to steer one down to third man. The umpire shakes off the appeal and snicko backs up his judgement. Good call. That six from the first ball did all the damage. Bangladesh are content to take just three more singles from the over. That is Jadeja done. It is down to the seamers now.

    Ban 110-5published at 15.1 overs

Soumya Sarkar hits against the spin of Jadeja but gets enough of it from his sweep and finds the stand. A mighty blow.

  20. Ban 104-5 (need 43 from 30 balls)published at 15 overs

Patient stuff again from Bangladesh as Nehra returns. You sense that Mahmudullah is waiting for the one in the slot but he and Soumya Sarkar have to settle for a steady accumulation of singles. India are hanging in there.
