We are just having a casual discussion about who could legitimately claim to earn "one-name status" in international cricket, like Madonna or Rihanna (not that they are international cricketers I know) We saw Inzamam earlier in his role as Afghanistan coach, he would be a shoo-in (and that's a whole new debate about the origins of that phrase) but who else would be in? Curtly? Courtney? you decide

But the only thing we can be sure of from Group 2 so far is that those perennial street fighters New Zealand are through to the last four.

The others are still battling away for supremacy like gangs in the playground. Even Bangladesh can still mathematically make it and they have lost their first two matches.

Disastrous a contemplation as it may be for the organisers and the billions of devotees from India, defeat against the Tigers would leave them up against it.
