Bea Watkinson: Gotta hope this win by the Windies Women will overhype the men before their final. I hope England can ruin the party.

Jeremy Taylor: Great celebrations from the Windies' women's team, none of that for the men please!

England captain Eoin Morgan: "We would have had a bowl first. It looks a  really good surface. The covering of grass is unusual here but it should be a good wicket.

"We have improved in all three areas, grown in confidence and shown character at different stages.

"We've discussed Chris Gayle but we don't focus on one player. The semi-final against India was proof of that because in a good team anyone can hurt you."

It has been an inspiring tournament. Big hitting, quality death bowling, switch hits, scoops, paddles.

But, how have the current crop of T20 stars influenced your game? We'd like to hear your tales of the times you have tried to emulate the big boys. Did you try to switch-hit in your back garden with disastrous results? Did your attempted paddle shot end in bloodshed? Or maybe you can't be doing with all these big-hitting shenanigans and blocked it for 20 overs to get a red-inker?

England v West Indies represents bookends to the tournament for both these sides. The latter won the opener between the two, with Chris Gayle teeing off in spectacular fashion.

A lot has happened between then and now, though.

England have found their identity through a true rollercoaster of a tournament that involved chasing down huge totals, seeing off big scares and producing a proper display in the last four.

The West Indies blazed their way into the semis before a blip against Afghanistan, but saw off the hosts in spectacular style.

The coin goes up a mile and for a second scurries out of sight, but Darren Sammy's heads call is a good one and he decides his side are better off chasing.

It looks like a good track - over to you England, whadda got?

Captain's Eoin Morgan and Darren Sammy have been in the spotlight ahead of this final but in truth their contributions to their tournament have been pretty limited.

Sammy has faced just 11 balls and bowled 12 so far while Morgan has scored just 61 runs and suffered two golden ducks.

Thankfully, they both have bags of talent around them and at their disposal. Look, they're having the time of their lives...

England have won this trophy before - in 2010, funnily enough in the West Indies - but their opponents are also going for their second title. Should they achieve it, it will complete the region's dominance in recent limited-overs cricket. Their Under-19s won the World Cup in February and less than an hour ago, their women won their first World Twenty20.

This weekend sees Cricketforce in full swing across the country, external (my local club, Pudsey St Lawrence has had volunteers grafting away fixing doors, painting benches and polishing the plaque of the club's most famous son - see below).

It is apt then that this World T20 final features two teams who have undergone such a rapid period of improvement. England have come a long way in a short space of time since last year's World Cup, but today also honours the great work to push the side forward from the recent internal issues that threatened to bring it to its knees., external

After their ignoble, embarrassing exit in the group stages of the tournament in Australia and New Zealand, England have picked themselves up, dusted themselves off, searched their souls, changed coach and approach and undergone a road to Damascus (or should that be Kolkata) style conversion from flops to finalists.

Leicester City and this in one year; who would have thought it. Sport, bloody hell!
