Thanks James. Some belting photos coming in of where you're all following from. My favourite is Ally Hamps in the labour ward. Excellent commitment to the cricket, although I have a couple of questions: Does your partner know? And at what point do you have to put the phone away?

It reminds of a friend of mine, who spent the whole time his wife was in labour making changes to his Fantasy League football team.

Right, after that very illuminating chat with Jonathan Edwards, it's time for me to hand over to Justin Goulding, who will take you through the afternoon session...

Triple jump world record holder Jonathan Edwards on TMS: "No athlete likes to think they're a bottler, but I certainly struggled under the pressure. I think that's pressure did for me at the 1996 Olympics, when everyone expected me to turn up and win, and I had two fouls and ended up only getting silver."

Triple jump world record holder Jonathan Edwards on TMS: "I think Olympic sport is at a bit of a crossroads, and the decision over whether to allow Russia to compete at the Rio Olympics is obviously key to that. It would be a massive step not to have Russia at the Olympics, but you kind of think 'enough is enough'. You've got to take some short-term pain for some long-term gain. I can't see there's been enough evidence of real change for the track-and-field athletes to be allowed to compete."

Triple jump world record holder Jonathan Edwards on TMS: "I went to school with Victor Ubogu, who went on to play prop for the England rugby union team. He beat me in the school 100m. And Steve Ojomoh, who played back row for England, still holds the triple jump record at my school."

Triple jump world record holder Jonathan Edwards on TMS: "I loved watching Michael Holding. There's never been a bowler like him. I still remember that over against Geoffrey Boycott in Barbados - I think that's got to be the high point of fast bowling for me. Triple jumping is all about rhythm, and I think it's exactly the same with fast bowling."

Triple jump world record holder Jonathan Edwards on TMS: "I played cricket at school, I captained the first XI at age 18. I was a reasonable quick bowler, I could be quite lively, and I batted number three, but I never got a fifty - which is one of my great sporting disappointments. After I retired, I started playing for South Northumberland, I took my finest ever caught and bowled."

"You've got to take the game into day four at least. Sri Lanka have started well and have done the only thing you can at the top of this innings, thwarted Jimmy Anderson, which is always important. As for England, when you've been taking wickets every two or three overs, and expecting to roll through a team, when you don't you quickly go quiet."

    SL 58-1

Finn begins the final over before lunch with a venomous bouncer. But that's a lovely riposte from Kusal Mendis, a pick-up flick off his legs over mid-wicket for four. They've had a much better session and can be pretty pleased to have got through to lunch just one down, I reckon. They are still in a very deep hole in this game, though...

"I don't think Root would ever reach that. It was more of a third slip chance from a flashing drive. It would be very harsh to blame him."

  19. SL 52-1published at 12:56 British Summer Time 29 May 2016

A little bit streaky from Kaushal Silva, square-driving Chris Woakes with his bottom hand flying off the bat, but the ball flies through the vacant point region and away for four. And that's very streaky! Silva flashing hard, a thick edge flying just past Joe Root at second slip. Third slip would have snaffled it, and given England have 350-odd runs to play with, you have to wonder why there wasn't one...
