  1. 100 runs

SAM ROBSON HITS A CENTURYpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Middlesex 191-3 v Nottinghamshire 354

It's hard to keep up with all these runs and centuries this afternoon! Middlesex opener Sam Robson is the latest man to bring up his century off 194 balls with 15 fours.

The England selectors aren't short of options are they?!

  2. Five Fours for Joycepublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Sussex 339-1 v Derbyshire 191

Incredible. Ed Joyce sends Luke Fletcher for five boundaries in a row and has rapidly moved on to 179.

  3. wicket

WICKET Livingstone (b Best 0)published at 16:28 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Lancashire 378-6 v Hampshire 109

Where has this come from, Hampshire? They couldn't buy a wicket this morning, and now Tino Best has found four wickets this afternoon.

The latest to fall is that of Liam Livingstone who is out for a duck and his off-stump is uprooted out of the ground.

Best then celebrates in true style, showing some moves and dancing at the crease.

  5. wicket

WICKET Procter (c Dawson b Best 137)published at 16:17 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Lancashire 374-5 v Hampshire 109

What first over after tea. Lancashire's Luke Procter hits a boundary off Tino Best's first ball, but then, just a couple of deliveries later, pulls the ball to mid-wicket and is caught by Liam Dawson.

Take the positives though, it's a career best for the 27-year-old. Best now has his third wicket of the day.

  6. 'Kent utterly dominant'published at 16:13 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Kent 198-2 v Gloucestershire 337

BBC Radio Kent's Ben Watts at the Spitfire Ground:

"Following a good morning for Gloucestershire, Kent were utterly dominant in the afternoon session as captain Sam Northeast and overseas player Tom Latham batted out the entire session.

"Northeast went to his first century of the summer in 147 balls, while Latham has now scored three consecutive half-centuries in his first three innings for Kent.

"Having at one stage been 6-2, the third wicket partnership for Kent is 192 and counting."

  8. Tea at Headingleypublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Yorkshire 362-3 v Surrey 330

Surrey's bowlers may want something a bit stronger than a cuppa at the interval.

Jonny Bairstow (168 not out) and Joe Root (143 not out) continued their relentless assault in the afternoon session to take their fourth-wicket stand to 317.

One thing to keep an eye on - Yorkshire's record fourth-wicket partnership is 358 between Darren Lehman and Michael Lumb against Durham in 2006.

  9. 'Worcestershire dominate in Cardiff'published at 16:03 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Glamorgan 42-4 v Worcestershire 456-6 dec - Tea

BBC Radio Wales Sport's Nick Webb at Cardiff:

"An excellent afternoon for Worcestershire who have Glamorgan in a strangle-hold.

"Brett D’Oliveira completed his double century, at which point Worcestershire declared, Mitchell Santer adding a bright 23.

"Joe Leach, five wickets in an innings against Essex last week, then removed Selman lbw and Bragg went next ball well take at slip by Kohler-Cadmore.

"Leach missed out on the hat-trick bowling to six slips and two leg slips.

"Wallace played all round a Barnard yorker, and Rudolph was then run out, going for a third run, by a fine throw by Santer from the extra-cover boundary. Covers are back on a tea-time and rain looks imminent."

  10. 100 runs

SAM NORTHEAST HITS A CENTURYpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Kent 198-2 v Gloucestershire 337

The Kent skipper has led a fine recovery at Canterbury and reaches his 12th first-class ton off 147 balls just before tea.

Tom Latham is unbeaten on 83 and the partnership is up to 192.

  11. Derbyshire rue missed chances as Sussex pull aheadpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Sussex 293-1 v Derbyshire 191

BBC Sussex's Adrian Harms at Derby:

"A session dominated by Sussex who have added 150 runs with both Ed Joyce and Luke Wells reaching 100 in an unbroken partnership of 222.

"Derbyshire will rue dropping Joyce when he was on 47- a comfortable chance to Hamish Rutherford in the covers - but that apart from that neither have given a chance.

"The weather forecast looks dodgy for tomorrow and Sussex will want maximum bonus points should the weather intervene over the next two days, so expect a charge after tea towards the 400."

  12. Lancashire remain 'miles ahead'published at 16:00 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Lancashire 370-4 v Hampshire 109 - Tea

BBC Sport's Stephen Shemilt at Old Trafford:

"Some fiery, hostile pace bowling from Tino Best has entertained us on this sun-drenched afternoon at Old Trafford. First he ended a sparkling innings from Alviro Petersen, who was caught hooking, then he softened up Lancashire captain Steven Croft.

"Mind you, it will take much more than that to drag Hampshire back into the game. Lancashire are still miles ahead."

I'll be honest, with eight games to cover I took my eye off things at Headingley for a minute and missed the magic moment...but I've put a 300 graphic up for you below Rich. Hope that makes up for it!

Talking of heads going, I'm not sure there will be too many cool ones among the Surrey players at the moment.

Jonny Bairstow (160 not out) and Joe Root (136 not out) have slowed a little, but their partnership is now up to 302 and Yorkshire are into the lead.

  15. wicket

WICKET Croft (c Vince b Best 12)published at 15:49 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Lancashire 365-4 v Hampshire 109

Two quick wickets for Hampshire as Steven Croft is the next to fall for Lancashire. Croft edges Tino Best to James Vince who takes a superb catch to his left hand side.

Croft notched up 12 runs in 15 balls in his brief cameo this afternoon.

  16. wicket

WICKET Rudolph (run out 5)published at 15:47 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Glamorgan 40-4 v Worcestershire 456-6 dec

Oh my word, that's not what you do when your side is 38-3.

Jacques Rudolph is run out while attempting to come back for a third run. Glamorgan's heads are going!

  17. Northants collapse at Grace Roadpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Leicestershire 332 v Northants 151

Northants' innings is over as Wayne White traps Ben Sanderson lbw to end with figures of 4-24. The lead is 181.

    Will Leicestershire enforce the follow-on?
