15:29 BST 14 July 2016Shafiq rides his luck a bit, edging through the slip cordon off Woakes. He's not the first Pakistan batsman to do so today, of course. Woakes shows his frustrations, and later responds with a good bouncer that Shafiq has to bend backwards to leave.

Former Pakistan captainWith the technique Misbah has maybe England should put a catching fielder on the leg side.
He is almost on the off stump when he blocks and I don't think an edge would carry.

15:25 BST 14 July 2016Asad Shafiq has scored eight hundreds at number six, the same as the record held by the legendary Sir Garfield Sobers. He gets off the mark as Pakistan break their mini-drought with some singles, though Misbah has another of his nervous moments. This time a defensive shot bounces up and narrowly past the stumps.

Jack Byrne: Think this series could be the making or breaking of Moeen for good, can see them going after him every time he bowls.
Tabster: Had a feeling that it would take a delivery from Stuart Broad to get Younus Khan out. However a soft dismissal.

15:17 BST 14 July 2016Nervy moment for Misbah, as he defends and the ball just sort of dropped down and trickled away.Could have rolled towards the stumps, and certainly Misbah looked alarmed. Briefly.

Of all the current crop of England bowlers who has had the most catches dropped off their bowling? I have a sneaky feeling that Finn might be right up there. If that’s the case (remains to be seen), together with the coaching team who fiddled with his action and the dropped catches off his bowling it’s no wonder he’s not brimming with confidence.

15:12 BST 14 July 2016Younus got stuck into Moeen's bowling, but the England offie had the last laugh (more on that in a moment).
Pak 135-4 (Misbah 37, Shafiq 0)published at 15:12 British Summer Time 14 July 2016
15:12 BST 14 July 2016England marginally on top? They've broken a potentially innings-changing partnership, and now Pakistan's captain Misbah must start the recovery again. Another wicket, even if it's not Misbah, will see them in command I feel.
Pak 134-4 (44 overs)published at 15:09 British Summer Time 14 July 2016
15:09 BST 14 July 2016So Broad gets his first wicket and what a time to do so. Misbah and Younus were heading for a big partnership, but that's ended at 57. Asad Shafiq comes in next for Pakistan.

Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match SpecialIt's an absolute gift. Hafeez played so well before spooning one in the air, now this. This partnership was just starting to put England on the back foot, but then Younus gave Moeen a simple catch at mid-wicket. Pakistan have gifted England a couple of wickets.

Oh dear! Younus Khan has thrown it away. Broad was heading for his sixth maiden but induces Younus into a leg side drive. In an ideal world, it would have flown away to the boundary, it had that much pace, but standing in the way was Moeen Ali. Well done, man. That will give him some confidence.
Pak 134-3published at 15:01 British Summer Time 14 July 2016
15:01 BST 14 July 2016More woe for Mo. Misbah takes him over mid-wicket for four. Not working out for the spinner so far, as he's given away 14 in his two overs. Stuart Broad comes back into the attack, bowling from the Pavilion End.

Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match SpecialIn the England side this week, two won't play in the next Test. James Anderson and Ben Stokes will come back in. You could either make sure you have a great match to make sure you're not one of the two, or you could look at it negatively. If you have the poor mindset, there's a good chance that you'll be the one who misses out.

Pak 129-3 (Younus 32, Misbah 32)published at 14:58 British Summer Time 14 July 2016
14:58 BST 14 July 2016Moeen's not having a good time of it. Expensive over, and then manages to concede overthrows in the next set as his throw hits the stumps and runs away. Should have been a dot ball, but gives away three.

Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match SpecialYou can make as many excuses as you like for Steven Finn, but he's just not right. There's no rhythm. You look at Jake Ball and the ball is gathering pace off the pitch. Finn has no oomph, it's almost sticking in the pitch.
