Play resumes. James Vince to bowl the first over. One over from Lord's so far in this series. Figures of 1-0-1-0. Very pleasing for those partial to a bit of binary coding.

Moeen's batting is so confident but his bowling isn't; he looks nervous. I would say to him, 'Treat your bowling like your batting.'

Great news! The hover cover has been brought off. Which hopefully means play will resume shortly. Pakistan will be most pleased about that, not so much England maybe. Confirmation that play will start in five minutes.

If you missed any of the action from the session so far, the highlight was Azhar reaching his century and celebrating with some press-ups.

Moeen looks a little bit too mechanical. There's no snap - it's a bit, bowl it, follow-through - it seems like he's going through the motions and Pakistan's batsmen will play that all day.

A bleak day in many respects for England. Maybe this break has come at a good time? As for the weather, it could be a good sign that only the pitch is covered for now. It appears to be a drizzle and not a downpour. Not many people leaving the stands either. Hopefully a bit more play to come today.

It has been a bleak day for the England bowlers because the ball has swung all day.

    Azhar 130, Younus 10

Finn may be hoping he was still in the dressing room getting some massage in, rather than getting flicked for four by Azhar. Another full delivery, and the batsman has no problem tucking it away to the mid-wicket boundary. Shotttt, as the great Richie Benaud might say.

It's raining as well. Off we go!

Pakistan's run rate is not remarkable, but it's the manner of slowly getting the runs that is perhaps most frustrating England. Like a really, really slow-moving queue. Azhar is content to block away for much of the time as he does to Moeen this over, which yields two.

Unfortunately for England, it's Azhar Ali with most of the belief at this ground right now as he produces a textbook drive down to long-on for four. Finn bowls it slightly on a fuller length, and Azhar uses his feet really well to drive. It's the sort of shot Joe Root would probably enjoy playing. Similar sort of follow-through from Azhar as well.

England have a lead of 70, the ball is still swinging and they could get four or five wickets before Pakistan reach parity. If you're out on the field, you've got to think like that. You have to keep drilling into yourself that you're not out of this, even if you don't believe it.

Dave Wood: For someone who prides themselves on his team's fielding, Trevor Bayliss will be pretty disgusted with this from England today.

England again being made to toil. Azhar gets on the back foot to cut Moeen for four to third man and then Finn's hamstrings have to do yet more work as he runs a fair distance to prevent a boundary at fine leg, including a bit of a tumble. And now Finn has to bowl the next over as well. I predict the world's longest massage for him after stumps.

Richard, press-ups as punishment would work...unless you're a Pakistani cricketer. Finn, the wind giving his hair a bit of a pop-star-esque parting, runs in for his first over since the injury scare. Suggestions it may just have been a bit of cramp. Azhar again shows off his flicking skills, to take a single.

So, minor injury scare brushed aside, England return to the business of attempting breakthroughs. Moeen entrusted with this first over after the break. Azhar gets low and across the line to sweep him for one. Hints of an upcoming slog, testing the waters a bit?

Scratch that, the Watford Wall is back on the field. A few stretches and gallops to get the hamstrings loose I think. Doing it the old-fashioned way.
