England batted for four overs this morning before deciding enough was enough.
Yep, stick TMS on to listen to the journalists' panel during the lunch break. Because I basically had half the morning off, I feel obliged to fill you in with some highlights of what happened.

It's been a very good morning for Pakistan. I'm a bit disappointed with England. It's been a bit negative. I don't think they needed to bat this morning. They've been defensive with their field placings.
Target 343
Much to ponder for England during the break, specifically how to get nine wickets on a surface resembling a strip of tarmac. Pakistan reach 69-1, Aslam and Azhar look very good. Think hard, Alastair...

Cook has been reading Captaincy for Dummies again. Joe Root for one over before lunch.

I'm sorry to report that a deep point has been put in place. I don't know how many times I have to say it on radio or talk to my friend Cookie about not doing that.
Pakistan will try their to make sure this is the last over before lunch. Moeen to Azhar, whose best plan for wasting time might be to whack the ball somewhere. Just a single to deep point, so we will have another.

There's a short leg and a leg gully in place for Finn, who is round the wicket to Aslam. Expect some chin music, Sami. It is short, but it takes Finn some time to get the line right. Too leggy, only a couple of balls that Aslam has to play.

If England are going to win this, they've got to be brave. Cook has got a slip and a leg slip for Moeen but he has got no-one up in front of the batsman's eyes. Get that deep point in for goodness sake!
65 overs remain
Not the best start from Moeen, a long hop that Aslam doesn't know whether to hit for four or six. He settles with a pull for a couple. After that, Moeen, who is round the wicket, improves. Nice loop, reasonable line. Two, maybe three overs before lunch.

Swanny gets his wish. Moeen is on.

The two Pakistan batsmen are looking very set against these bowlers. Come on Alastair Cook - you've got 10 minutes to lunch. Get the spinner on!
Finn gets a good dollop of advice from Anderson at the beginning of his over. "Look ere Steve lad. See tha lad in the green helmeeet, it's your job to get im aaat." Finn, emboldened, finds some extra bounce, getting Azhar to jump around. "Thank you, James. No one had explained it to me before."

England are not going to bowl Pakistan out with four seamers on this pitch. Moeen Ali is the key.
Now you're just making me feel guilty. I don't want that on my conscience. As the trumpeter tries to lift spirits, Azhar, all shuffles and armguard, works a leggy ball from Woakes fine for four. I'll be honest, the ball is doing nothing. Less than nothing. Remember, England's only wicket came from Mohammad Hafeez deciding that he doesn't really fancy playing in the final Test. What's this? Four overthrows. Anderson's throw miles away, Broad can't back up, leather to boundary. Discussion over whose fault it is.
