BBC Test Match Special
After Kevin Howells brings you the county scores, stand by for actor Adrian Edmondson on TMS, which should be an entertaining listen. Depending on your age, you should remember him from The Young Ones or Bottom - while I saw him playing it very straight on stage in Waiting for Godot (with his regular comedy partner, the late Rik Mayall) in the early 90s. And the latest rumour is that he's got a part in Star Wars Episode VIII...
In the meantime, we'll bring you the video highlights of the morning.

Joshua Worrad: Bumble's son Graham Lloyd gave me his thigh pad. He was our club pro at Prestatyn CC and had had a few in the club bar.
CanaryInLondon: I thought GB's first bat would have been that stick of rhubarb from his mum's pantry?

I thought it was terrific from Pakistan. I expected England to come out with the new ball and get stuck in. I expected Anderson to be fresh, to swing the ball and maybe polish Pakistan off. But quite frankly, the ball did hardly anything.
Younus played fabulously. I've seen him play for Pakistan and Yorkshire, I helped get him there, he's still a fantastic player. He's not the sort of guy to give it away. If you don't get the tail-enders out, don't think he'll give it away. He's likely to get a double hundred here. And then you'd put your money on England losing.
Younus 147, Wahab 1
And Moeen Ali gets the traditional spinner's final over before lunch. A slip and a short leg are posted. Younus helps himself to two fours, one each side of the wicket, and a single ensures he walks off for lunch with 147 to his name. Well batted, sir.

First bat was the Slazenger V100 bought 27 years ago. Saved up for it from my pocket money. Still in the kit bag; scores occasional runs. They keep telling me to get one of these modern wonder bats but it would feel like cheating on the old lass.

Probably time for two more overs before lunch. Steven Finn has two wickets to his name this innings, but is closing in on having 100 runs against his name. Wahab continues to leave anything he doesn't have to play.

My first cricket bat was a Lambert. It's very old, nobody's heard of it. I don't have it anymore. The next one I had was a Len Hutton.
Peter Yates on email has pointed out that Lambert bats were made in Nelson, Lancashire...
Wahab, with one eye on lunch (when he'll be able to have one ear on Adrian Edmondson), plays out a maiden from Woakes.

England's bowling, except for Woakes, has been a touch too short.
Younus 137 (219 balls)
Younus takes a fresh guard from umpire Bruce Oxenford, while the other umpire Marais Erasmus dashes across from square leg to point. Younus uppercuts a bouncer from Finn, and it flies over point for four.

Richard, Stamford: I work with Dean Headley at Stamford School. I went for some advice on buying some kit for my son. Originally wanting to know what size/make bat would be best. I came back with pads, gloves, fielding mitt, bat and an empty bank account. Salesman of the year.
So, extending it from old cricket gear... have you ever been sold or given cricket gear by a Test player?

I thought Younus left it well! The whole morning has not gone England's way, it's gone Pakistan's way. I'm pleased for Younus. I know I'm English but he's a smashing guy. He hasn't been near his best when he's jumping around. He's done well here by staying still.
It flicked the top of his pad with the batsman right up on his toes, he's a tall man... and the ball-tracker shows it missing the wickets by a good inch or two! Good review from Younus.

England have got to hope it's at least nicking the top of the bail.
Gone! Or is he? Finn looks to have trapped Younus in front, but the Pakistan batsman immediately reviews it... it looked high...

I’m concerned. We’re not beating the bat enough. Wahab came in, and we think their tail is not good enough, but he hasn’t missed. I look at the score and think if they get to a 100 lead, we have a serious fight on our hands to win the game.

Wahab is watchful at the crease, leaving anything suitably wide of off stump. Maiden over. Make him play, Woakes...

Matt Taggart: Swedish wedding today. Wife's a bridesmaid so I'm perched on a window sill trying to get wi-fi to listen to TMS.
