  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 3.1 overs

    Azhar c Buttler b Woakes 0 (Pak 2-3)

Oh dear. This could be over very quickly. Woakes finds the perfect length and draws a tentative, nervous forward push from Azhar, who edges to Buttler. To be fair, while the wicket is green, the wickets have all come from brutal balls. Woakes and Wood, I salute you.

  2. Pak 2-2published at 3 overs

I think Pakistan may want to go back in time 40 minutes and change their decision at the toss. Good toss to lose for England this.

No better sight for a fast bowler. Absolutely top of off stump and it ripped it off. Umpires are having to hammer it back in.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.2 overs

    Sharjeel b Wood 0 (Pak 2-2)

That is an absolute ripper! Wood fires in a rapid ball that squares up Sharjeel and decimates his off stump, sending it flat to the turf. England are on fire. Pakistan are on the ropes.

Jay: I was expecting Sharjeel Khan to encourage a counter review there. Very disappointed.

Ben Thapa: The sound can only possibly have been from ball on glove. Nothing else near it.

Matthew Warwick: Unlucky for Pakistan that. Very unconvinced by that decision.

  6. Pak 2-1published at 2 overs

Not the start Pakistan will have wanted. Following on from the Ageas they needed a solid start to keep the demons away. England on top already.

It couldn't have been anything else could it? The gloves were there. It couldn't have hit thigh or arm. It was just the finest of nicks and it went through to Buttler.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.4 overs

    Aslam c Buttler b Woakes 1 (Pak 2-0)

Tuffers is spot on. There is no mark on Hot Spot but a clear spike on Snicko and the on-field decision is reversed. Aslam is not a happy man but he has to go. England are in to the tourists early.

I think he's got a little glove on it.

  10. Pak 2-0published at 1.4 overs

Big appeal from England as Woakes bowls down leg and Aslam swings and potentially gloves it. After a brief chat captain Morgan takes it upstairs...

It's nice to be back. I've missed all of you. A great adventure in Rio, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  13. Pak 2-0published at 1 over

There is a lot of green on the wicket. It looks like the diving pool in Rio.

After an early wide, Wood finds a quality line outside off, beating Aslam a couple of times. Just getting the pistons pumping, reaching late 80s mph.

I'm very confident anywhere but Lord's. England have a horrific record. Many may be a bit awed having not played here that often.

    Weather

Here is the forecast on BBC Weather: "Turning hot and humid across the far southeast, with some long but increasingly hazy sunny spells, and just the chance of an isolated thundery shower later. Elsewhere, cloudier at times, with showers, heavy and thundery at times."

England pace bowler Mark Wood on Sky Sports: "The time out was extremely difficult at one point. After the first operation I came back after the rehab, I was ready to go again and to need that second operation was a big blow. I'm pretty energetic, so to be stuck in the house, I think a few people were getting fed up with me. It's good to be back."

We are into the business end of the domestic cricket season. Trophies are there to be won, relegations avoided, fines to be collected. My local team Pudsey St Lawrence are top of the league with three to play and have a cup final tomorrow. Come on lads!

But what about your side? Get in touch and let us know if you're fighting for honours or against the drop. Maybe you've got an opener who is only a dozen runs short of a 1,000 for the season, or a bowler eyeing 100 wickets? We'll try and give you a shout out.
