Excellent question Bill in Finsbury Park. People are always misspelling my name on my shirt, sometimes they add letters like S A C H I N. I've been meaning to have a word.

Woakes was going for a tidy over there but Imad Wasim finally gets some proper contact on the ball, and pulls him away for four through mid-wicket. After his Ganguly impressions, this one was a bit of Cook on steroids.

How many men have scored ODI centuries with their name mis-spelt on their shirt?

    Sarfraz 91, Imad 13

Sarfraz's helmet grill takes another hit - a minor one this time - as the right-hander tries another sweep off Moeen but gloves it towards his face. Somebody mentioned Sarfraz is wearing an old-fashioned helmet. I pray for the day batsmen come out in the field-hockey mask. Mouth guard optional. Anyway, he moves into the 90s. Nervous, Pakistan fans?

I think Pakistan need to have a reassessment of their one-day team. They simply don't have it in them to score 350. They are playing an old-fashioned version of one-day cricket. Now they just need to get a score on the board to bowl at.

  5. Pak 165-5published at 37 overs

Woakes bowls his seventh over and once again Sarfraz shows his skills, expertly flicking a delivery off his pads to some applause. It only brings a single, but he's a man looking intent on batting till the end. It's not gung-ho cricket. But perhaps that's exactly what Pakistan needed. Imad continues showing his swings outside off, this time half-emulating an MS Dhoni helicopter shot.

More importantly for Pakistan, the run rate has been rising steadily, enough to make Eoin Morgan concerned. Moeen runs through his over quickly, as this Pakistan partnership reaches 37. Andrew Strauss is in conversation somewhere in the innards of Lord's. A man who always reminds me of an Iron Man suit. Not completely sure why.

In case you've just joined us, or have been emulating Graeme Swann's snooze tactics, here's a quick look at how Sarfraz brought up his half-century, and how Jason Roy kept us all entertained through the dark times.

  9. Pak 158-5published at 35 overs

The last time I covered a game at Lord's, Steven Finn forced David Warner off retired hurt in the first over, while Ben Stokes was out obstructing the field. Eventful. I expected similar today, especially with the start, but credit to Sarfraz for stabilising Pakistan. He adds a few more runs to his tally, while Imad produces a very Ganguly-esque cut past gully for a single. Plunkett's over goes for six.

That is a good shot. he was nowhere near the pitch of the ball. Moeen saw him coming and bowled it wider but he was still able to get it up and over.

Another drinks break? Oh alright then. At least Sarfraz heaved his way to a four down the ground in the Moeen over to keep things interesting. I expect he's itching to get the full slog under way, but his team need him to stay calm until over 40 perhaps.

We all need some rest after that eventful Moeen over. Plunkett obliges by keeping a tight line. Four runs are still conceded, but the Lord's members can go back to resting. One particular member dressed sharp as a pin in the necessary colours and sporting a moustache that you put next to the word sleek in the dictionary.

England have lost their past three one-day internationals at Lord's, while Pakistan have won four of their past five against England at the ground.

Hello! Jason Roy gets the crowd all excited and cheering, but not in the way he normally does. Sarfraz strokes Moeen's delivery to deep mid-wicket and Roy tries to slide in smoothly with a wink and a wave, but the ball bounces off him and runs away for four. Sarfraz then brings more comedy by trying to sweep but only managing to slice the ball into his helmet grill. It's all happening people!

They say you double your score after 30 but with five wickets down I don't think Pakistan will be doing that.

    Plunkett 6-0-22-1

Liam Plunkett's back. England going through a few combinations with the ball. I could hear aircraft going over Lord's earlier. Or maybe it was a helicopter. But that's the most excitement we've had for a long time either way. Somebody get Heathrow on the phone to send a few more over.

Sam Charlton: I agree Mr Dash! Sounds more like the house of Lords than an international cricket ground. All the others have a top atmosphere.

  20. Pak 132-5published at 30 overs

Pakistan's overall run rate is just above four, but the last 10 minutes have gone at one an over. Not a word of a lie. The statistical monotony is broken by Pakistan scoring three off Moeen's over. Bring out the bunting.

If the old cliche of double up after 30 overs is true, Pakistan will get about 264. Which is a decent total bearing in mind their start.
