I'll tell you who will be overjoyed here - Chris Woakes who took 4-41 in a match where 700 runs were scored!

So, England win by 169 runs.

This after having scored a world record total of 445. Alex Hales hit an English individual ODI score of 171. Jos Buttler struck the fastest ODI 50, in 22 balls. That is just a small selection of today's records.

Amir c&b Woakes 58 (Pak 275 all out)

Game over. Woakes digs one in short and Amir top-edges high into the Nottingham sky for the bowler to claim.

Crazy end. Crazy game. Brilliant, of course, but crazy.

  6. Pak 275-9published at 42.3 overs

Bonkers game. Woakes tries to bowl one out of the back of his hand and barely lands on the cut strip and then Amir hammers him down the ground for four.

  7. Pak 270-9published at 42.2 overs

Does anyone want to actually end this game? Amir swings at Woakes, sending the ball high for Buttler to chase. He dives to try and catch but the ball falls a yard away from him.

This is now the second highest 10th-wicket partnership in ODI history. Only Viv Richards and Michael Holding's 106 at Old Trafford in1984 surpasses it.

  9. Pak 268-9published at 42 overs

Mohammad Amir has added some spice in to this game. It doesn't change a thing, but it is a bit of sugar to help the defeat go down. He hits cleanly off one knee to take Moeen for another four.

Amir's played some wonderful shots in a hopeless situation, and at least it's given the Pakistan supporters something to cheer about.

This is the highest score ever by a number 11 in one-day international cricket. And it took 22 balls for him to reach 50, which is the same number as it took Jos Buttler.

  13. 50 runs

50 for Amirpublished at 41 overs

    Pak 260-9

Remarkable. Mohammad Amir, with nothing to lose, shrugs his shoulders and rips into Rashid, hitting him for three successive sixes - two to cow, one straight - to reach 50. He brings it up in 22 balls - the same as Jos Buttler.

  14. Pak 241-9published at 40 overs

It has been a very bad day for the art of fielding. Amir drives off Wood and Stokes falls over the ball, allowing it slip through his grasp and run for four. Wood's last ball - a full bunger - is slapped through extra cover for another boundary. England are ending a great day in a bit of slapdash fashion.

Mohammad Amir is the first Pakistan number 11 to hit a six against England since Shoaib Akhtar in 2003.

Graeme Swann adds: I'm sure before his hiatus at Her Majesty's pleasure, he used to bat seven or eight.

Oh, great shot Mohammad Amir. He backs away and belts Rashid through cover for four off the back foot. He keeps swiping but picks out fielders.

This is Mohammad Amir's first ODI innings in double figures since November 2009, when he made 73 not out against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi,, external batting at 10. Although that time does include a lengthy non-voluntary sabbatical.

    Pak 221-9

Mark Wood is one of the few England players who probably won't remember today fondly. He's taken some tap. Yasir leans back and hammers him for four through long-on. He then misses out on a wicket as Buttler runs round to claim a high top-edge but spills it.

What a game this has been. I still can't get my head around that we've witnessed a world record score, some of that hitting by Buttler and Morgan was ludicrous.
