  1. Pak 214-9published at 37 overs

Mohammad Amir has decided to have a bit of fun. He plants a foot and smacks Rashid to cow for four and then goes one better with a clean hit into the stand. The last blow was caught by a fella in the crowd thanks to a combination of chest and hands. So long as it sticks.

Between overs 25 and 35, Pakistan hit one boundary. England managed 13 fours and a six in that time. The innings have certainly diverged.

Mark Wood, in his first eight one-day internationals, hadn't taken more than one wicket in an innings -  he got three in the last game and has one today.

Mohammad Amir is the last man. He gets off the mark to take Pakistan to 200. This is going to have to be one hell of a last-wicket stand.

Under the new regulations coming in, that wouldn't be umpire's call, it would be hitting as a good two-thirds of the ball would be hitting.

Wahab lbw Wood 14 (Pak 199-9)

Wood picks up his first wicket with a quick ball that Wahab goes back to and is caught on the pad, prompting a raised finger from the umpire. Wahab reviews - he may as well - but the video evidence shows umpire's call so he can continue his trudge off.

There's a sense of deja vu this summer, after the way the England women's team beat Pakistan in their ODI series.

  8. Pak 197-8published at 35 overs

    Target 445

Edge off Rashid. Catch! No. Yasir snicks the ball just wide of the diving Root at slip. The same batsman then top-edges a sweep into space. Things have take a distinct turn for the dull.

    Pak 193-8

Mark Wood is trying to soften up Yasir, darting a few short balls into his ribs. The run-rate is now up over 15. You could describe it as "a challenge". Drinks time.

Is that the sun setting on Pakistan's chances in the Super Series?

  12. Pak 191-8published at 33 overs

Good chopping from Yasir, who knocks a Rashid ball into the ground and through Buttler's legs for four. A couple of big pulls bring Pakistan a couple of singles. There's not a lot going on. Which is probably why Daggers and Ebony are talking about bees and secretion on TMS.

  13. Pak 183-8published at 32 overs

    Required run-rate: 14.55

Mark Wood returns. He has the chance here to make his figures look less ugly after he was blitzed earlier by Sharjeel. He shows no sympathy for the tail, getting one to jag back at pace and cut Yasir in two. Three off the over.

Love the talk of bad fielding, do not forget diving over the ball or diving after it has past you, guarantees you will not have to run for it. To the untrained eye it looks like you are putting maximum effort in...

In a curious way, Rashid has a better googly than Shane Warne, who was the greatest wrist-spinner of all time, but didn't have a very good googly and didn't like bowling it. Rashid's increasingly not frightened to use his, especially in one-day cricket. If I were him, I'd bowl a high percentage of googlies to left-handers who would probably be looking to smack him over mid-wicket.

    Nawaz c Morgan b Rashid 34 (Pak 180-8)

The googly does for Nawaz. Rashid almost bowls him the ball before but this time prompts a lofted drive that sends the ball straight to Morgan to snare at cover.

James Dawkins: How wonderful to hear James Taylor on TMS today after all he's been through this year. A new star on #bbccricket.

Terry Mahoney: Having watched cricket in the seventies when 220 put the side batting second under pressure, this is a different universe!

There are some signs of punters having drifted off home now. I don't blame them - they've seen the best of it already. If I was a stood outside the ground now I'd be waving my arms in a dismissive fashion and calling: "Move on, please. Move on. Nothing to see here."

    Three runs off Moeen's latest.

Moeen's taken a lot of stick, but for me the best three English spinners are him, Adil and Gareth Batty.
