I don't think it is going to turn much and I don't think Imad does turn it much, but anyone who gets it in the right place can do a good job.

  2. Missed stumpingpublished at 17 overs

    Eng 104-3

Missed him! It's a beauty from Imad, beating Stokes on the inside edge, leaving the batsman groping a good distance out of his crease. The bounce, though, does for Sarfraz and the wicketkeeper misses the stumping chance. A life for Stokes. Imad is bowling beautifully, even if there was a hint of fortune about the way he got Morgan...

Peter Miller: Since the 2015 World Cup five batsmen have scored 1,000 runs. Four of them are English. The other is Martin Guptill.

50 for Jason Roypublished at 16 overs

    Eng 99-3

A half-century for Jason Roy, but he might not have got the memo about not losing another just yet. Reverse-sweep, top edge, just past short third man and away for four. A second half-century of the series, a fifth overall (to go with three tons), made in even time.

We talk about the depth in England's batting, well it might be tested today.

    Imad 1-0-2-1

Looking again, Morgan has drowned in honey. Trying to biff it into the Taff, he completely shanked it. Still, umpire Simon Fry was moving out of the way at a good lick. Ben Stokes the new man. England don't want to lose another quick one here.

That's the worst ball he has bowled too. Morgan almost got it on the bottom of the bat. You don't mind getting out but you don't want to be gifting your wicket. He probably thought he could have hit it anywhere in a 180 degree area.

    Morgan c&b Imad 10 (Eng 92-3)

And now Imad Wasim is the first man born in Wales to take an ODI wicket in Wales. Judging by the roar, it's a popular one. Eoin Morgan comes down the wicket to the rankest of full tosses and can only toe end it back to the bowler, who either catches it or wears it. He does the former, clinging on in surprise. England just on the verge of a wobble here.

It has played better than it looks. It looked scabby out there, like a club pitch.

More spin, the left-armers of Imad Wasim. I'm told that Imad is the first man born in Wales to play an ODI in Wales. That, my friend, is a fact and a half...

We are going to see spin for the first time and England won't mind that. Roy has played nicely, they are building a nice foundation.

Richard, how many on that train are going to the cricket? How many can you cram into one pic to send to us? We're not just providing a commentary, we're making friends. Spin for the first time, Shoaib Malik's offies. Twinkles in, round the wicket, tidy stuff. Singles, Morgan having to get his skates on for one of them.

Gul, wide in the previous over, comes round the wicket to Morgan and succeeds in cramping the skipper for room. Even when Gul is bowling well, though, he's let down by his fielders - Mohammad Nawaz letting the ball through his hands at point to give away a single. That's better from Gul, mind. Only three from it.

Jason Roy has lost two partners, but he's swinging like a rusty gate. Over-pitched from Hasan, Roy belting a drive back down the ground to scorch the turf. He's not all butcher, though. Next ball a surgical touch comes through a dab to fine leg for four. Hasan, though, is still bowling a full length, beating the bat on occasion. He removed Joe Root in his previous over...

You don't often see four consecutive balls left in this one-day international era.

Gul tries again, kicking his heels up to charge his black hair towards Morgan in a military style. Angle across the left-hander with the arm, no suggestion of wobble in the air. The skips leaves, leaves, leaves and leaves again, before deciding to cut a very wide one for four.

    Hasan 3-0-13-1

Looking again, there was a hint of movement back in to Root from Hasan. I'm also not sure it was quite full enough for the drive. Pretty loose from Root, actually. Eoin Morgan is the new man, immediately greeted by a free-hit as Hasan oversteps. The skip accepts, drilling down the ground for four.
