Adam Lyth led from the front for Yorkshire as their group-stage game against Durham ended in a comfortable 49-run win for the White Rose county. Opener Lyth hit three sixes and 11 fours in his 87 off 54 balls and quickfire 30+ scores by Travis Head and Jack Leaning saw Yorkshire to 223-6

Durham lost wickets at regular intervals and reply and despite Usman Arshad's 43 off 23 balls, they came up short on 174-8 as spinners Karl Carver and Azeem Rafiq took five wickets between them.

Will it be a similar story today - or will the Jets turn the tables?

Forget Usain Bolt - what a finish that was from Gloucestershire's mascot Alfred G.Rilla!

With a burst of pace and a little bit of monkey business he sprints past Nottinghamshire's Nuts the Squirrel to take the Mascot Race crown.

Almost as breathless as the first semi-final!

  5. Willey's finest momentpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

Three years ago, in arguably the most dramatic ending to a T20 Blast Finals Day, all-rounder David Willey dismissed Surrey's Zafar Ansari, Jon Lewis and Chris Tremlett for a hat-trick to win the trophy for Northants. You can re-live that memorable over, by listening to the commentary here.

Nowadays, Willey is a Yorkshire man, contributing 269 runs and nine wickets in their march to Finals Day. Can he produce another treble today? A double treble - almost as good as Usain Bolt, perhaps....

Durham win toss and bat first v Yorkshire

Both captains have been speaking to Henry Moeran from TMS out in the middle.

Durham captain Paul Collingwood: "We're certainly underdogs, we haven't got overseas pros. We'll go out there and give it a go.

"We're confident that we can go out there against a strong unit and put on a show."

Yorkshire captain Alex Lees: "We've got a strengthened batting unit today which might help us in the run-chase, but we've got to go out there and bowl well first.

"We need to be on the ball today."

It's the moment we've all been waiting for...the Mascot Race.

The windy conditions mean the course has been reduced in its length - I guess you've got to consider the health and safety for these sort of important events!

"Whatever Durham do first, I think that Yorkshire will come out on top.

"They've got so much fire-power. They've got a 95mph bowler in Liam Plunkett and the number two best player in T20 in Joe Root."

Durham captain Paul Collingwood wins the toss and elects to bat first against Yorkshire.

Vikings captain Alex Lees doesn't look too disappointed, admitting he didn't know what he'd have chosen had he won.

There are a few spots of rain starting to fall once more in Birmingham, but the covers aren't coming on just yet.

    Nottinghamshire 153-9 (20 overs) v Northamptonshire 161-8

Nottinghamshire and England's Stuart Broad on TMS: "It's a real shame. Batting has been a strength for Notts right through this competition.

"I think we batted a 3/10 and still got within eight runs. I think that speaks volumes.

"The damage was done being 90-5 and I think that's always a tough place to come back from.

"Ben Duckett played a brilliant knock and you only need one person to come off like that tom win a semi-final."

"It's a great atmosphere and I can't wait until the final later."

"I called it from the start, I said Northants were going to play with a chip on their shoulder and with something to prove.

"They've got a complete set-up in terms of the tenacity and energy they get from each other. They play as brothers."

    Nottinghamshire 153-9 (20 overs) v Northamptonshire 161-8

Northamptonshire are into their second consecutive T20 Blast final, where they'll play either Durham or Yorkshire.

Ben Duckett will surely take the man of the match award for his 84 off 47 balls in the first innings, dragging his side from 15-3 to 161-8.

Notts lost wickets early and were always behind in their run chase. Andre Russell looked to be getting them back into contention with a blistering 39 from 18, but Rob Keogh's spectacular catch saw off the West Indies all-rounder, and the Outlaws were always struggling from then on.

That'll do it for Northants! Just a single for Harry Gurney.

If they avoid any extras, there's nothing Notts can do.

Edged by Harry Gurney, and the ball runs down to the boundary. Notts still need sixes.

Just a single off the third ball, great bowling from Azharullah. Sixes and fours needed.

Is that the wicket that takes Northants into the final?

Stuart Broad attempts to pull Ben Sanderson through the leg-side, but he instead edges the ball behind to keeper Adam Rossington.

Notts need 15 to win off the final over.
