The Surrey celebrations are under way and Yorkshire must now re-focus on trying to win the County Championship for the third year in a row.

The margin was closer than seemed likely when the White Rose county were 81-5, but the result is all that matters to Gareth Batty's side, who can now plan for another trip to Lord's.

Surrey skipper Gareth Batty told Sky Sports: "I thought we had done pretty well to get the runs on the board. We could have got 270 but I always back us to defend a score.

"Ben Foakes and Steve Davies batted brilliantly. It was a game-changing partnership. They were brilliant."

Yorkshire captain Alex Lees told Sky Sports: "We are all gutted. We have played some great white-ball cricket this season, but when it has mattered we haven't been good enough. 

"The bowlers were exceptional and we thought it was a reachable target. We needed someone in the top five to make a contribution and we would have reached the target comfortably."

So, Surrey will have a chance to atone for last season's defeat by Gloucestershire when they return to Lord's on 17 September. 

But will it be Warwickshire or Somerset providing the opposition? We only have 24 hours to find out.

Only two singles come from the first four balls of Jade Denbach's final over, leaving Tim Bresnan no option but to look for a six - but he gets to far underneath it, Dominic Sibley takes the catch at long-off and Surrey are on their way to Lord's for a second successive year. 

Azeem Rafiq lobs the ball over mid-off for two runs for Yorkshire and then gets off strike with a leg bye. Now, what can Tim Bresnan do now? His teeth are gritted, but he can only manage one to mid-wicket.

Another leg bye follows as Rafiq makes sure he gets everything outside off stump and Bresnan swats a slower ball to point for one.

Well bowled Jade Dernbach. Advantage Surrey after that one? 27 from 18 needed.

Stuart Meaker's final over, so it'll be two each from Tom Curran and Jade Dernbach to round this off. Azeem Rafiq is the new batsman and he chops down to third man for his first run. The next ball is smashed over long-on by Tim Bresnan for the first six of the innings.

Bresnan takes two from each of the final two deliveries - it's a great over for Yorkshire and Meaker ends with 3-61. Yorkshire need 34 from 24 balls.

Tim Bresnan picks up two runs into the leg-side to bring up a 70-ball fifty, containing only two fours. It's an invaluable knock for his side, but can he see them home? 

Tom Curran replaces his brother Sam, having only conceded 22 from his first seven overs. Tim Bresnan comes down to wicket to try and disturb his length but only managed one to deep square. Will Rhodes hits over mid-off and gets four as the ball spins on landing and deceives fielder Steven Davies.

Tim Bresnan backs away to try and hammer Stuart Meaker through the off side and is lucky when an inside edge prevents it hitting the stumps. Bresnan throws the kitchen sink, and probably the bathroom sink as well, at a short one, but only gets one to third man - 63 needed off seven.

Sam Curran's final over and he starts it by having an lbw appeal against Will Rhodes turned down. The fifth delivery is a poor one and Tim Bresnan pulls it down behind square for four. Curran finished his spell with figures of 1-47.

Finally, a boundary for Yorkshire as Will Rhodes swivels and helps the ball from Stuart Meaker down to fine leg. Meaker is now bowling close to 90mph and Tim Bresnan can do nothing with the final one of the over.

Yorkshire pick up five singles from the 39th over and it's a similar story at the start of the next as Will Rhodes pinches a sharp one. A leg bye is followed by a wide and another one to Tim Bresnan, but Yorkshire need more than this if they are to make it to Lord's - 83 needed off the last 10 overs.

It's almost two wickets in the over as Will Rhodes skies an attempted pull, but the ball travels far enough to land out of Gareth Batty's reach. Sam Curran appeals for lbw against Tim Bresnan as he switches to round the wicket, but that one was missing leg.
