    Surrey 1-0 (1 over) v Yorkshire

A veteran of 85 one-day internationals, it's a good opening over by Tim Bresnan, but the final delivery is slightly wider and Steven Davies helps it down to third man for the game's first run.

  3. Dernbach poses threat to Tykespublished at 10:58 British Summer Time 28 August 2016

Yorkshire v Surrey (play starts 11:00 BST)

It may be two years since Surrey paceman Jade Dernbach last played international cricket, but he remains one of the canniest performers around in white-ball cricket.

He took 4-39 in their quarter-final against Northants as Surrey scraped into the last four, and although overall tally is the same as team-mates Gareth Batty and Stuart Meaker, his wickets have come in only five appearances - and at a cost of just 10.23 runs each.

  4. Big day for two new facespublished at 10:56 British Summer Time 28 August 2016

Yorkshire v Surrey (play starts 11:00 BST)

Opportunity knocks today for youngsters Ollie Pope and Matthew Waite.

Chelsea-born Pope, 18, has been given his senior debut by Surrey after playing for England's Under-19 team in their recent series against Sri Lanka, in which he scored 87 off 78 balls at Canterbury.

All-rounder Waite, 20, makes his second 50-over appearance for Yorkshire this summer, having played in the 31-run group-stage win over Leicestershire at Headingley earlier this month.

Yorkshire opener Adam Lyth lit up the One-Day Cup in mid-June when he made 125 and 136 on successive days against Northants and Lancashire, hitting 15 sixes in the process.

Runs haven't come as easily since then, but he is the county's leading scorer in the competition and led the way in their quarter-final win over Kent by top-scoring with 88.

He's a batsman Surrey will hope to see the back of quickly in today's semi-final.

Yorkshire v Surrey (play starts 11:00 BST)

Well the news from the middle is that Yorkshire have won the toss and chosen to bowl first.

The home side have Jonny Bairstow in their side after he was cleared to play by England, but Joe Root, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett and David Willey remain with the national one-day squad.

Likewise, Surrey must manage without Jason Roy, so Dominic Sibley will open the batting alongside Steven Davies.

Yorkshire: Lyth, Lees (capt), Ballance, Bairstow, Leaning, Bresnan, Rhodes, Rafiq, Patterson, Brooks, Waite.

Surrey: Sibley, Davies, Sangakkara, Burns, Foakes, S Curran, T Curran, Pope, Batty (capt), Meaker, Dernbach.

  9. Semi-final offers second chancespublished at 10:30 British Summer Time 28 August 2016

Yorkshire v Surrey (play scheduled to start 11:00 BST)

Only eight days ago, Yorkshire missed out on a place in the T20 Blast final after falling short in a run-chase against Durham at Edgbaston.

However, sport sometimes offers second chances, and buoyed by a dominant Championship display against Notts, they are back in limited-overs mode and looking to reach a Lord's final for the first time since 2002.

Opponents Surrey seemed to have the One-Day Cup in their grasp when they reached 143-2 in last season's final, but then eight wickets went down for 71 as they lost to Gloucestershire by six runs.

They want to get to Lord's again to put that right, and are a form side at present, having also excelled in the Championship this week as they defeated Lancashire.

Who will come out on top? Welcome to our coverage of the first Royal London One-Day Cup semi-final. It should be a cracker.
