Sam Harper: I can confirm that we are indeed, dancing on the streets of Bridgwater at that 8th wicket! Two more please

Tom Hanson: This is tense! Poor Bressy will be too nervous for his usual pie, chips 'n' gravy for lunch!

Chris Bamford: What?!?!?! Don't take lunch now you nutters, how can anyone involved with @YorkshireCCC eat anything right now? #bagofnerves

  2. wicket

WICKET Trott (b Lilley) 42published at 12:36 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Warwickshire 219 & 110-3 v Lancashire 152

The relegation battle also has plenty of life left in it.

Jonathan Trott is bowled by Lancashire spinner Arron Lilley just before lunch.

Warwickshire are still in a very good position though leading by 177, with only a win guaranteeing their safety.

Lancashire will be looking nervously to the south, where play is just about to get under way at the Ageas Bowl.

A Hampshire win coupled with a Lancashire defeat would see the Red Rose relegated.

  3. 100 runs

100 for Chris Rogerspublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Somerset 365 & 313-5 v Notts 138 - Lunch

Somerset captain Chris Rogers' lunch will also taste much better with news of that wicket at Lord's.

The 39-year-old just had time to reach his second hundred of the match before the interval - his 76th in first-class cricket.

Somerset lead by 540. Surely the declaration will come at lunch?

  4. wicket

WICKET Patterson (c Rayner b Finn) 11published at 12:30 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 v Yorkshire 333-8 - Lunch

This dramatic game at Lord's takes another turn on the stroke of lunch. And Middlesex have finally caught one!

Steven Finn finds the outside edge of Steven Patterson and Ollie Rayner clutches onto a sharp chance in the slips.

They'll be dancing in the streets of Wells and Bridgwater at that news. And that is indeed lunch.

  5. 200 runs in a session for Somersetpublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Somerset 365 & 305-5 v Notts 138

I think it's fair to say Somerset have now dominated all seven sessions so far at Taunton.

They've now scored 200 runs this morning.

Chris Rogers is a couple away from his second hundred of the match.

Jack Ashbourne: Nerve shredding stuff this, listening to the Yorkshire game on #bbccricket - never wanted a team to make 350 as much in my life.

  7. Patterson looking solidpublished at 12:16 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 v Yorkshire 320-7

Steven Patterson, with a first-class batting average of 16.30, looks confident enough at the crease.

He's stepping forward to Tim Murtagh and playing solid forward defensive strokes.

With Jack Brooks and Ryan Sidebottom to come - both gutsy characters - 350 is still very much on the cards for Yorkshire.

  8. wicket

WICKET Overton (c Tahir b Patel) 21published at 12:13 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Somerset 365 & 281-5 v Notts 138

Craig Overton is out - Imran Tahir taking a good catch in the deep to give Samit Patel his third wicket.

But it doesn't really matter - it's all about what Somerset's bowlers can do now.

  9. Somerset lead beyond 500published at 12:10 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Somerset 365 & 276-4 v Notts 138

A declaration is surely on the way at Taunton as the lead creeps past 500.

Skipper Chris Rogers is 10 shy of a century, so once he reaches three figures I'd expect him to jog off.

A tricky couple of overs before lunch at the Notts batsmen would be very handy.

  10. wicket

WICKET Rafiq (b Murtagh) 65published at 12:05 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 v Yorkshire 318-7

WICKET AT LORD'S! Tim Murtagh bowls a lovely inswinger which beats Azeem Rafiq's defences and clatters into the stumps.

Big wicket for Middlesex, but also a big wicket for Somerset who are hoping Yorkshire will score less than 350.

Steven Patterson is the new man in.

  11. Division Two updatepublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

At Canterbury, Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens was eventually out for 136 at Kent made 441. Division Two champions Essex are 23-0 in reply.

Glamorgan, chasing 181 to win at Leicestershire are on course - they're 107-4 with Will Bragg 45 not out.

Derbyshire have lost four wickets this morning at Worcestershire. The visitors are 62-4 in reply to Worcestershire's mammoth 475-7 declared.

Finally at Bristol, Sussex are 289-6, leading Gloucestershire by 60.

  12. wicket

WICKET Westwood (lbw b Clark) 34published at 11:58 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Warwickshire 219 & 75-2 v Lancashire 152

Lancashire claim another vital wicket at Edgbaston, Ian Westwood is out lbw to Jordan Clark.

But with the lead already at 142, is it too little too late for Lancashire? A draw would keep the Red Rose county up, but a defeat may send them down.

It all depends what happens at the Ageas Bowl where play is set to get under way at 12:40.

  13. 6 runs

Maximum for Rafiqpublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 v Yorkshire 310-6

Right, I'm off down the betting shop, the title is Yorkshire's!

Azeem Rafiq latches onto yet another short ball, this time from Tim Murtagh, which sails over fine leg for six.

I'm not sure even the most ardent of Yorkshire supporters could have dreamed for a morning session like this. 75 runs added, no wickets lost, both batsmen looking in supreme touch.

  14. 50 runs

50 & out for Peter Tregopublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Somerset 365 & 251-4 v Notts 138

Peter Trego, who has been smashing it to all parts at Taunton, biffs Matthew Carter over long on for six to bring up a 34-ball fifty.

The all-rounder then perishes in the next over, bowled by Samit Patel. Wickets aren't that relevant anymore though, Somerset's lead is up to 478.

Nigel Bratton: This is championship winning grit being shown by Bressie and Rafiq

James Clouting: Brilliant from Bresnan. Yorkies will fancy their chances now. Middx will have to go after quick runs which will be really tough

Alex: Tim Bresnan & Azeem Rafiq, TAKE A BOW! Unbelievable effort

  16. Bresnan leads from the frontpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 v Yorkshire 303-6

    Kalika Mehta

Tim Bresnan lofted his bat high in the air as he ran though for century and saluted the gathering of Yorkshire fans in the Etheridge Stand.

The 31-year-old has impressed with the bat all season and this innings may well be a title-winning effort in the most testing of conditions.

  17. ouch!

Painful blow for Rafiqpublished at 11:47 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 v Yorkshire 303-6

That's a really nasty blow. Azeem Rafiq ducks into a Toby Roland-Jones delivery and it smacks him on the side of the helmet.

The neck guard flies off too. Rafiq needs a moment to compose himself here, it looked horrible.

    He seems okay though.

  18. 100 runs

100 for Tim Bresnanpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 v Yorkshire 302-6

Tim Bresnan brings up one of the most determined, priceless centuries you will ever see.

Promoted to number five, the all-rounder clips Tim Murtagh through mid-wicket for three to reach his sixth first-class hundred.

The Yorkshire balcony all stand to applaud, Bresnan hugs Azeem Rafiq and has a huge grin on his face.

More importantly than the personal milestone, he's helping Yorkshire towards their third straight County Championship title.

  19. 50 runs

50 for Azeem Rafiqpublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 v Yorkshire 299-6

Has there been a more important half-century in the County Championship this summer?

Azeem Rafiq, who has fended off everything thrown at him by Middlesex's quicks, reaches his fourth first-class fifty with a four down to third man off Toby Roland-Jones.

    Wonderful effort from them 25-year-old.

  20. The relegation battlepublished at 11:37 British Summer Time 22 September 2016

    Warwickshire 219 & 55-1 v Lancashire 152

Ian Westwood and Jonathan Trott are rebuilding nicely for Warwickshire at Edgbaston after the early loss of Alex Mellor.

Meanwhile, there is some news from the Ageas Bowl...
