Middlesex are definitely still in with a chance of winning this! Andrew Gale tries to slog Toby Roland-Jones into the leg side but misses and the ball clips the bails.

8.1 overs left. Yorkshire need 80 runs, Middlesex four wickets. Azeem Rafiq is the new man in.

  2. Yorkshire need 83 off 54 ballspublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 154-5

Scoring is going to be so, so difficult for Yorkshire now - especially with Steven Finn absolutely steaming in.

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 153-5

That is absolutely massive for Middlesex. Potentially even bigger for Somerset.

Tim Bresnan tries to pull Toby Roland-Jones but the ball strikes his pad and up goes the finger.

Andy Hodd is the new batsman. Yorkshire need 87 off the last 10 overs.

50 for Tim Bresnanpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 147-4

Steven Finn looks like he wants to throttle someone. He's furious.

Andrew Gale pulls him away to the ropes before a vicious inswinger comes off his pad and through the keeper for four.

Tim Bresnan finishes the over with a single to bring up his fifty off 44 balls. What a match he's having.

Yorkshire need 93 off 66 balls.

This is the scene at Taunton, where Somerset players and fans are watching events at Lord's unfold on a television screen.

I can hear the fingernails being bitten from here.

  6. Yorkshire require 103 off 72 ballspublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 137-4

It's another wonderful over from Toby Roland-Jones. The paceman concedes just four singles.

This is going to go down to the wire isn't it?

  7. Yorkshire need 107 in 13 overspublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 133-4

Super shot from Yorkshire captain Andrew Gale. The Dewsbury-born batsman creams Steven Finn through point for four.

Finn is fired up though and comes back with a couple of brutish deliveries. Six off the over.

  8. Somerset eyes on Lord'spublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

It appears there are a few chewed fingernails in the West Country...

  9. Yorkshire require 113 off 84 ballspublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 123-4

That's just brute strength from Tim Bresnan. He leans back and swats Toby Roland-Jones over mid-wicket for four.

Bresnan is up to 46. Can he be the hero once again for Yorkshire?

  10. CLOSE!published at 16:41 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 119-4

How unlucky is that for Steven Finn? The England paceman finds the edge of Andrew Gale but the ball flies through the wicketkeeper and first slip and down to the boundary.

Yorkshire need 121 off 15 overs.

  11. Stoneman gone at the Ageas Bowlpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Hampshire 411 & 245-9 dec v Durham 361 & 237-2

Mark Stoneman is out at Hampshire, caught by Tom Alsop off Liam Dawson for 137.

It's too little too late for Hampshire to avoid relegation though. Durham need 59 off 12.4 overs. A draw would also send Hants down.

  12. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 113-4

Almost another. Tim Brensan reverse sweeps Ollie Rayner but gets a top edge towards Dawid Malan who spills a low chance.

To make matters worse Bresnan then launches the spinner for a six and a four.

Yorkshire need 127 off 16 overs.

  13. wicket

WICKET Ballance (c Robson b Finn) 30published at 16:29 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 98-4

Another twist in this dramatic final day at Lord's. Gary Ballance has a huge mow at Steven Finn but can only send it high into the blue London sky.

Sam Robson composes himself and takes the catch at mid-on. The game is slipping away from Yorkshire - Middlesex still have hope.

  14. Yorkshire need 144 off 108 ballspublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 96-3

It's another over without any boundaries for Yorkshire. Ollie Rayner concedes just two singles and a two.

Great stuff from the tall spinner.

  15. Tension building at Lord'spublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 87-3

My goodness this is going to be close. Gary Ballance and Tim Bresnan are having a go at most deliveries, but Steven Finn is bowling such a tight line.

Five come off the 21st over. Yorkshire need 148 off 19 overs. Or if you're a Middlesex fan, seven wickets required.

Meanwhile in Division Two, champions Essex have finished their season with a draw at second-placed Kent - skipper Sam Northeast finishing a fine season with an unbeaten 178.

  16. 6 runs

Ballance sweeps for sixpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 87-3

That's huge from England man Gary Ballance. The left-hander gets down on one knee and smacks Ollie Rayner deep into the stand over mid-wicket.

It's a better over for Yorkshire - eight come from it. Up with the required run-rate.

So now we have a Twenty20 game. 153 required!

  17. Yorkshire need 161 off 126 ballspublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 79-3

Yorkshire just can't find the boundary with enough regularity. Steven Finn bowls another fiery set of six and just five come off it.

The run-rate is heading up towards eight an over.

Benny P: This is unbelievably tense watching every ball on a train to Brighton! Somerset deserve this over the 16 matches!

Duncan Russell: We're not getting these, so do what we would do if it were the 1st game of the season and bat out, rather see Somerset champs

Maximum for Bresnanpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Middlesex 270 & 359-6 dec v Yorkshire 390 & 70-3

That was Viv Richards-esque from Tim Bresnan.

He simply flicks Steven Finn over square leg for six. Terrific timing.

Yorkshire need plenty more of those though.

  20. 100 runs

100 for Mark Stonemanpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    Hampshire 411 & 245-9 dec v Durham 361 & 195-1

Down at the Ageas Bowl, Hampshire look certain to go down from Division One now.

But it's a great sign off from Durham opener Mark Stoneman. In his last game for the county, the 29-year-old reaches three figures. Scott Borthwick, who will join him at Surrey, also has an unbeaten half-century.

Durham need 101 to win off 18 overs.
