Bangladesh, because they've taken the attack to England from ball one, it feels as though it has thrown the bowlers off. They're always nervous a shot like that is coming. If they had poked around England would have got on top.

Re: Spinners needing to bat [34 overs]. It's partly because, excluding these tracks in Bangladesh, spin usually only has a decisive impact later in the game. Therefore, some other element needed to justify not playing with 10 for 50% of the game.

Rich Law: For years we needed three spinners in subcontinent. Two Tests later we need to revert to seam cause our spinners aren't good enough.
The wrong'un from Rashid and it spins extravagantly past the outside edge of a bemused Tamim. Another one takes the edge and races past slip, with the industrious Bairstow racing after it to collect just short of the boundary. A moral victory for Rashid but the cold, hard facts are three more runs for the home side.

So no storm, no wicket and no sign of a maiden from an England spinner as Rashid is comfortably milked for singles on either side of the wicket.
