  1. Ind 162-7published at 51 overs

    Yadav 8, Jadeja 14

Stuart Broad will take a bow, with some natty figures of 4-33 from his 14 overs. He's replaced by James Anderson, who looks even grouchier than usual. He moves one back into Jayant Yadav, hitting in somewhere I can only describe as uncomfortable. Yadav picks out the fielders to keep India to just one run from the over.

  3. Ind 161-7published at 50 overs

    Lead by 361

Virat Kohli is powering through a yoghurt of some sort back in the dressing room. He's earned himself a sit down. Adil Rashid carries on twirling, trying to find another outside edge. Neither batsman is playing, however, showing everything the full face of the bat and smothering any turn with the pads.

  4. Ind 159-7published at 49 overs

    Jadeja 13, Jayant 6

Stuart Broad comes perilously close to a first Test five-for in India as Jayant Yadav edges a low one, but it's past Jonny Bairstow and away down to third man for four. Broad looks distraught, but with a slip that far back, it left Bairstow a long way to leap and it would have been a difficult one to cling on to.

Clayton Hodges: What a catch!!! That is simply stunning from Stokes. This is all getting very interesting now.

Dean Jones reckons that Mark Waugh was such a good slip fielder, he could see how the seam was travelling, so he would know if they ball was travelling quickly or slowly.

That catch. Honestly. It must be rubbish being Ben Stokes and being good at everything. Although the best thing is still his nonchalant celebration, like it's no big deal that he's just gone flying through the air to take a one-handed catch. What a way to bring that lovely Virat Kohli innings to an end.

The problem with taking these wickets is that England will be batting earlier.

That's nice bowling from Rashid, tossed up wide outside the off stump. Kohli flayed at it and it was edged, where Stokes took it. It was good cricket from bowler and catcher. India might not be getting as many runs as they like.

    Kohli c Stokes b Rashid 81 (151-7)

Ben Stokes is obscenely good. Freakish reflexes at slip. He looks as smug as you like, and he's got every right to be. Virat Kohli threw the bat at Adil Rashid and the ball came looping up to Stokes. He leapt, the ball almost behind him, and clung on with that big right mitt. Ridiculous.

  11. Ind 151-6published at 47 overs

    Jadeja 12, Kohli 81

Stuart Broad continues, now into his seventh over of the morning. His walk back to his mark is getting slower and slower. Ravindra Jadeja gets a quiet word from the umpire for running on the pitch as he and Virat Kohli hare down to nab a single. Broad makes an observation to the umpire as Jadeja comes down the pitch again, which Rod Tucker brushes off and hands him his sunglasses back instead.

Adil Rashid carries on after drinks, floating the ball temptingly into Virat Kohli's eyeline. Rashid's starting to get a bit of bounce too, which Ravindra Jadeja counters by slamming the ball into the crowd for six. Kohli gives a cheer at the non strikers end, while Stuart Broad hurls the ball back in.

  14. What have you missed?published at 05:02 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2016

If you're just joining us, stick the kettle on, ey? You've missed three wickets this morning, two for Stuart Broad and one for Adil Rashid. But Virat Kohli is still going strong. He's the only one to get to grips with this pitch. India's lead is now at 340. You'd suspect they want over 400.

Broad has produced as good a spell of seam bowling as you could ever wish to see on these surfaces. He has controlled his length and been committed to getting something out of the pitch.

Drinks break - Ind 140-6published at 45 overs

    Lead by 340

Magnificent effort from Stuart Broad, operating on one foot. He skims the ball just past Ravindra Jadeja's outside edge and then Jadeja has to thud his bat down at the last second to keep a low ball away from his stumps. The crowd noise goes up a notch as Virat Kohli takes his guard, but the ball ignores the crowd and rears up to rap Kohli on the gloves.

It's just brushing the leg stump. You can understand why the umpire kept his finger down.

  19. Kohli not outpublished at 44.2 overs

    Ind 139-6

Umpire's call. It's just clipping the leg stump. Broad swings his arms in annoyance, and then aims a kick at the pitch for good measure. Maybe not the smartest idea, given that foot.

  20. England reviewpublished at 44.2 overs

Stuart Broad absolutely pleads with the umpire as he raps Virat Kohli on the pad. Umpire Tucker shakes his head, Broad looks at his captain, and Alastair Cook decides to review.
