Somehow England have got to rein India's lead in and then survive with the bat, which will be difficult. We've looked at the pitch today and those cracks seem to have opened up even more today.

Virat Kohli did what Virat Kohli does yesterday, scoring another classy half-century as India ended the day on 98-3, a lead of 298.

India were in some brief trouble at 40-3, thanks to Stuart Broad and James Anderson, but Kohli was a cut above the rest.

He guided Ajinkya Rahane through to the close and he'll be looking to replicate his first innings century.
