Cook on England's overall performance: "You can't afford to lose a session like we did at the end of day two if you want to stay in the game. If you get behind the game in India, it's very difficult to get back.

"My dismissal, I just missed the ball. If you knew you were getting that ball you'd play straighter. I just missed it and Kumar (Dharmasena) got it right.

Virat Kohli praised all his bowlers after today's victory, but Ravichandran Ashwin has moved to the top of the Test wicket pile, with 55 wickets this year.

England coach Trevor Bayliss: "We'll have to put our thinking caps on to see how we can get Kohli out. We haven't come here to make up the numbers, we're here to win. 

"As a coach I look back and think there's a lot of good points to come out of these two matches. Not least the fight we've shown throughout this Test match.

"We would have liked the feeling of last night to continue. Having to start again, on a fifth day wicket doing all sorts, that can happen."

Cook on Adil Rashid: "One thing we spoke about in Bangladesh was we didn't have the control with our spinners. Adil has taken it to heart, gone away and bowled beautifully. He wasn't bowling the foll tosses and long hops like he had been. That's a huge credit to him. 

"Rash can bowl. He's a good bowler and I think he's starting to believe it now. I think we're starting to see a bloke who realises he can play."

England coach Trevor Bayliss, speaking on Sky Sports about Ben Duckett: "It is certainly something Cook and I will sit down and have a chat about. He's one guy that has probably worked harder than anyone else in the nets. 

"It's disappointing from that point of view. It does show its a long way between county cricket and Test match cricket at the highest level.

"I'm more than comfortable with Jos (Buttler) playing as a batter. He's been hitting the ball quite well in the nets. I've been happy with the way Jonny has kept. From the South Africa tour to now, he's done a fantastic job."

England captain Alastair Cook on Ben Duckett, who has 18 runs in three innings in the series, tells Sky Sports: "It shows how hard international cricket is. There is no hiding place. You score a lot of runs for your county, away from the spotlight, but after a couple of dismissals for England, suddenly the media and TV are all over you.

"Ben is a very talented cricketer, there is no doubt about it. He is certainly a guy who will be around for England."

No. He's frozen. His head has gone. You can't bat like that.

You have to be concentrated in the mind, but your body has to be relaxed so that your feet glide into position and your hands move, so you don't rush it when you see a ball to hit.

When you are under severe stress like he is, he's trying to force it. I see a boy who is under serious difficulty. I would give him a break from Test cricket.

India captain Virat Kohli on his team's performance: "It's been a lucky ground for me. Every time I come here I get a good feeling. The environment is such in the stadium that you want to play exciting cricket. The support is priceless.

"We wanted to make sure we bat deep and long, put pressure on the opposition. That's exactly what we did. From there on the bowlers were always on top. Scoreboard pressure is something that really counts in Test cricket. You saw that here."

India captain Virat Kohli, speaking on Sky Sports, about the next Test: "There's not much to think about. We've been playing some really good cricket. We don't have to be complacent at all. We have nice momentum.

"We've come back from tough situations. England have played quality cricket. We need to strike the right balance of not getting too desperate and not relaxing too much either."

England captain Alastair Cook: "The first day was crucial - it was a good toss to win. We saw the first day was easiest to bat. You can see the scoring rates - it became harder.

"In India you've got to score first-innings runs and try to get parity. We lost those five wickets but from that moment on we showed a lot of character and fight."

England captain Alastair Cook: "We set our stall out in the fourth innings and we made India work very hard. We'll hold our heads up high.

"It's hard when you lose any Test matches. We played some good cricket in these first two games - we managed to put India under pressure."

England have depth in their batting and good seamers, but there have been concerns over an opener and a number four for a while. Joe Root has moved up to three, which means we now have a problem at number four. Hameed looks the part as an opener but he's only 19. They have 'calypso collapsoes', and that's what hurts them.

Virat Kohli is the man of the match for his 167 & 81 in the game.

He calls Vizag a "lucky ground for me" and thanks to the fans, which brings a huge round of whoops and cheers from the stands.
